Something is wrong the chain. Everhting tets Orphand. Look at Zpool.

https://zpool.ca

Miner 795   total has 36.5 MH/s but only Orphand blocks.

It looks like the attacker has several manipulated nodes which simpy exclude legit blocks and he overwrites them with his manipulated blocks. As long as he has the majority and enough hash, there's not much that I can do about it without getting the coin itself fixed... He is also sucessfull in lowering the difficulty on his chain, so the rewards on his blocks are > 40 XMG instead of the normal 8-11 XMG...

A pity..

something's wrong with the chain!

Why do you say/think that something is wrong? Huh 3 hours ago everything seemed fine, but I'm no expert.

hashrate insanely dropped. Many orphaned blocks... almost all last blocks are orphaned

I'm worrying that bittrex will delist this coin since the volume is so low.
Any opinions ?
In the past they gave a warning if 2 week volume was less than 0.3BTC per day, and gave a coin 2 weeks to increase volume - I think we are still within those parameters, but could certainly do with a bit more volume, its been pretty quiet on the magi front lately

Probably been said, but I can't run the latest wallet without it being seen as a virus. Any fix to that? Or do I gotta wait for the next update, my xmg doesn't stake either way. But I thought it was cause of having under 30. Anyway. Thanks for any help.

I'm assuming you D/Led it from one of the pools so it isn't a virus.  I avoided that by opening my virus checker ( Win 10 - Windows Defender ) and specifying that the directory containing my miners and wallets were to be excluded from its checks. Under /Settings\, scroll down to Exclusions, [Add an Exclusion], detail the directory containing your wallet .exe file. I excluded the whole folder, but you can exclude just the .exe, your choice.

That did it for me.

I joined this project yesterday, tried mining since this time and last 4 hours were only orphaned blocks at pool mining (trying suprnova).
Sad but I'm hodl'ing on  Wink

Edit:
Maybe I missed it but is there also a discord channel?

Hello,

There is an issue with Magi, looks like chain split. Seems many pools affected

I'm unable to check if I have any issues from where I am as I'm away from my wallet - there do seem to be a few orphaned blocks again today

Right now I have Orphans from (6011383)   2018-04-07 12:50:16 to (6025313)   2018-04-07 18:15:03 according to my account transactions on pom.m-hash.com.

How do we know what nodes to add? Where can we find that info?

I don't think they HAVE to be specified. I don't have any specifically defined and my wallet currently has 11 connections to the Magi-Network.

You are right, they don't - however, adding those nodes makes the initial sync time reduce and reduces the chances of ending up on a potentially forked chain, I always add those in to my config

For more nodes you can always check the network page on here and view some nodes per wallet version...

POS do you need separate wallet for every 1000 coins? Is it effective to add multiple addresses?
I just store all in the same address

the important thing is to setup your magi.conf well

Code:
# You must set rpcuser and rpcpassword to secure the JSON-RPC api
rpcuser=[put-a-username-of-your-choice-here]
rpcpassword=[put-a-random-password-of-your-choice-here]

# Listen for RPC connections on this TCP port:
rpcport=8232

# server=1 to accept JSON-RPC commands
server=1

# listen=1 to accept connections from outside
listen=1

# RPC connection from localhost allowed
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

# Add nodes to connect to specific peers
addnode=104.128.225.215
addnode=103.11.64.40

# posii=1 to enable PoS staking; default = 0
posii=1

# Transaction under stake with a value greater than the threshold is being splitted
stakesplitthreshold=500

# Transactions with values less than the threshold will combine into one
stakecombinethreshold=500

hello guys, I wonder if it is possible to mine xmg from an android quad core phone? I think it would be a good idea to have a version of miners available to install on android devices.
I was mining on a 8 core phone a while ago - the hash rate was so low that I stopped

I was using NeoNeon miner app, if that helps.

I have been messing around with this a bit. I have a couple Galaxy S4s(NeoNeon Miner) and a Raspberry Pi. Right now, I have then plugged in to the house power so not making a dime there, although electricity is included in my rent. In a another month, hopefully sooner, I will have these devices all powered off a solar panel system I have. In 3 weeks I have mined 0.22910162, and that is mainly with just one of the Galaxy S4s. I have them in a pool at xmg.minerclaim.net. They have a different port for slower devices. My pc mines with xmg.bullmining.com

I found my slower machines like cellphones work best on the Trasmamod pool.
