https://xmg.minerclaim.net does not work again.

Who knows for what reason this time?

Its up again

probably overloading with almost a thousand miners. It is also unhealthy to have too high hashrate on a single pool. It is less decentralized and borderline centralized.
Is it healthy to ban users with 300+kh/s? You create a problem with bans, and now you talk "It is also unhealthy, miners mine on a pool without moronic rules, the universe is so unfair!". L - logic.

From my previous "losing coins" experience I have a feeling that all these easily earned coins in the last 24 hours of high block reward are going to go away as quickly as they have come  Undecided
There is a chance that the larger rewards are because there are less people on the new chain (and windows updates at the end of last week), I have my fingers tightly crossed...

The confirmed coins earned right now are legit coins. the problem is there is too much so value might suffer in the long run when the exchanges get flooded with sell orders. Previously you were earning too much coins because you ended up in a fork chain where you only compete with a small number of individual. This time the high reward is as a result of a rule change which was tested on a test chain for stability and not for reward payout with limited hash rates. If you can see as a result of the rule change there are also way more orphan blocks which are acceptable so do not count unconfirmed coins. I believe Joe will recalculate soon and probably adjust the settings again.

Short observation about net hash rate and actual hashrate. Pow and pos blocks are now forced at certain intervals. So try to multiply pow speed by 3-4x and thats probably the right net hash. Net hash similarly is divided into 3-4x. So the reward is being to high payout despite the high actual net hash. Not sure about this but this is just my opinion.

lets give joe time to figure it out. Whats important is the stability has been fixed. New implementations of course tend to have some unforeseen results from time to time.

any word on the exchanges? I dont really sell XMG so im not in any that actually sell them atm.

I mentioned to Bittrex about the fixes currently in place in that the network being monitored. I'll send them a note tomorrow night to initiate a go signal since we don't see concerns particularly.

Let me know anything abnormal.

Great, I'll get my wallet updated today - fingers crossed the chain is stable again =)

Coin of the Magi!
Hi, I'm trying to set the miner on its own and when I start it I get this:

No payout address provided, switching to getwork

I already have the parameters in magi.conf

daemon = 1
server = 1
rpcport = 8232
rpcallowip = 127.0.0.1
rpcuser = rpcuser
rpcpassword = rpcpass

something missing
Can anybody help me? thank you very much

You're doing okay, that warning is trivial. http://m-core.org/solo-mine-magi/

Who knows why the net hashrate stated lower than for example minerclaim pool hashrate?
Is this the reason why the block reward stays max value?

That's because the net hashrate was (and likely still is) derived from the times in between the last PoW blocks.
As PoW blocks generation is now conditioned by the the PoS/PoW sequence, that measure is not accurate anymore.
And yes, I also think that the block reward doesn't react as before anymore as a consequence of that.

The network hashrate is not an independent variable that the reward relies on, and they are separate from each other. What gets tricky is the PoW / PoS block generation pattern that has been forced in part by our recent implementation. This is the interesting part but it gets the difficulty adjustment tough. In other words, PoW / PoS block generation disturbs the difficulty in a certain way and hence the reward. I'll double check this part since we need to address the prior left question too.

Coin of the Magi!
So I just tried to send some of my XMG from my Cryptopia account to the new wallet (since they say they are delisting XMG) and it never arrived!?!  Looking at the coin information on Cryptopia for XMG and it says no connections.....

We're in touch with them and hopefully the current situation is before their final decision as they were saying fixes coming before desisting will make difference; transfer coins until they have fully functioning wallet.

I want to know why we should MagiPay? Bitpay is not enough?
So please tell me which is the advantage point that magipay is better than bitpay.

Obviously an option for a fast acquiring rather than reinventing the world, and MagiPay is not supposed to send BTC, the vice versa the bitpay.
