I am just wondering why XMG amount per block always changes. Its not fixed. Example one block of BTC found is 12.50 BTC, but here XMG, can go as low as 0.48 to as high as 11 XMG per block found. (only during what i observe in a week or so)

thank you

It's normal, read http://m-core.org/resources/#mpow for how it works with PoW

ahhhh finally all synced up!

This awesome coin has been added over at thecryptopool.com.

-o stratum+tcp://thecryptopool.com:6033 -u -p c=XMG

Happy mining!

I've added it to https://poolinfo.systms.org/#pools

I reinstalled the wallet in Imac containing the new version, but this appeared the error: ERROR LOADING BLOCK DATABASE
What can I do to fix this error?
Do I have to download the wallet again?
What is the portfolio file in Imac?

I thank you in advance for your help.

https://poolinfo.systms.org/ shows a 31.04 Mh/s Net Hashrate, but minerclaim is mining at 35.48 Mh/s.

On poolinfo that value is taken from getmininginfo from the wallet

If i'm not wrong now. block 1481500 will happen in ~ 3 hrs now (121 blocks to go.)

Is anyone having issues even 'loading' the new 1.4.4.1 wallet?

Using Windows 10 64x and i receive an (Error Loading Block Database) dialog when loading the new wallet, than the app crashes.

I have the updated blockchain bits in the folder, but still receive the above.

Hoping someone else is having this experience and has some guidance on how to resolve.

Are there steps or something that i am missing to make this work?  Starting to get really really really annoying....

Did you delete the old blockchain and db folder before putting the new one in?

So what i am doing is simply (deleting) the desktop folders that have the wallet (with updated blockchain files) within.  I am using the (Win64x) zip file off of the main magicoin site, which is a .zip that contains three folders ( bin | conf | doc).   There is no installer, from what i can tell it just runs directly off of the (bin/64x/m-wallet.exe) folder each time its ran (no 'install' reference is listed in
settings/apps'.  The magi.conf file is updated 'i believe correctly based on others guidance'.  So no problem there.

Is there a reg clean-up i should be doing to further 'delete/wipe' these files from my machine before giving it another go?  Or is the above enough?

Blockchain is normaly saved in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Magi on Windows.

kind regards,
freeapp

That did the trick!  Thank you so much, off and running.

Cheers!

the other problem i see is if lets say someone with a lot of hashpower wants to manipulate the supply to make price go up on exchanges  because they could stop supply  by mining faster then sell coins then stop there miner get coins again lower price more supply then repeat

so they could in theory manipulate the price

Explain please, if the stock exchanges wallets are blocked, what difference does it make if you can not replenish or change it? I'm sorry Smiley

im talking once exchanges are back on and if they implement the 40mh/s hashrate limit
difficulty cannot be set in the miner. Password setting is implemented by pools that support them. If you mine in a pool then it depends if pool support it. Just choose a pool that has the right difficulty for u

im talking about the 40mh/s limit they are thinking of implementing in the magicoin itself

so lets say the total nethashrate was 50mh/s and the new rule would make it so no pow blocks are mined when the hashrate is greater than 40mh/s so that means no pow blocks would be mined so less supply  so if someone had enough hash power to add to get it over the limit then they could control supply of the coin sell there coins for more on exchange if demand was enough then turn some of there miners off
let pow blocks continue mine  earn enough then repeat

they could also manipulate the price buy hashing fast enough that would not allow pow blocks to be mined therfore limiting amount of coins and manipulate supply

It`s a Windows 10 security "problem". Just run the m-wallet as Administrator.

Is there anyway to set a static difficulty for my miner?  I'm using m-cpuminer-qt win64.

I know some miners allow you to set it in the password command, but it seems the magi pools actually check the password.

Thanks all!
