Bringing Bitcoin-based micropayments to the Internet of Things
http://blog.atmel.com/2014/12/15/bringing-bitcoin-based-micropayments-to-the-internet-of-things/

Cryptotronix recently announced a partnership with TilePay, a decentralized payment system based on the Bitcoin blockchain, to bring cryptocurrency payments to Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The collaboration is hoping to make secure payments for real-time access to IoT sensors using micropayments a reality.

cryptobackpack_proto

Cryptotronix is building open-source authentication hardware and firmware to allow Pinocc.io devices to securely participate in TilePay. The solution is built around Atmel’s ATECC108 crypto engine which allows each TilePay-enabled sensor to have a unique ECDSA private key. (The same chip can be found on the CryptoCape, a dedicated security daughterboard for the BeagleBone created by SparkFun Electronics and Cryptotronix.) This lets users purchasing sensor data to verify the authenticity and origination of the data.

“Let’s consider an example. A company, organization, or a private citizen spends their own money to setup a temperature sensor network. The administrators can offer the temperature service for free (maybe they’re generous), they can charge a subscription fee to the service, or maybe they provide a free service that is subsidized with ads. With TilePay, there is a better option. TilePay will allow real-time access to the sensor and the users only pay for what they use using Bitcoin-based micropayments,” the team writes.

While the CryptoBackPack is currently only a prototype, Cryptotronix shares that it will be releasing the hardware design files and firmware soon.

1.) To clarify any rumors.

Yes, we are working with Ignite that is a founding member of the Estonian Cryptocurrency Association.

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/estonian-cryptocurrency-association-founded-promote-crypto/
http://www.ignite.ee/estonian-cryptocurrency-field/
http://www.ignite.ee/works/cryptocurrency/

We have an NDA with them for specific wallet/IoT development and other functionality.

We are going to publish a joint Press Release soon.

We are also working with other organizations to fulfill International standards in the IoT community for TileCoin IoT
asset creation and allocation of micro transactions/payments. The IEEE is trying their hardest to
standardize communication protocols between devices and we are taking steps to help establish the foundation.
IoT is the wild west like bitcoin is at the moment.

These things take more time that adjusting parameters in a clone. Wink

2.) Technical Registration Process of IoT Devices in review for Sprint.

3.) IoT pcb boards (security). We do not have a 4-6 layer pcb design at this time. Reason: Overhead/Simplicity (we are not using Zigbee at this time).
Reasons: Have to add a battery and MCU to each... No thanks.

4.) We will have a Wallet release date tomorrow.

5.) We helped stop a Google Ad Phishing scam for blockchain.info today. Smiley How come a billion dollar company like Google cannot detect this is beyond me...

If everyone wants a "daily", I will then provide it.

When you send an amount from bitgo.com, the remaining amount is passed to another multisig account.
Then once you send another amount the same occurs.
I have a Scrum/Sprint planning in 5 minutes.

I also have a call after this for Hardware development.

542 BTC is a VERY small amount to bootstrap a great project.

I will post the excel file after these two meetings.

Regards,
ASIC-8Tile

id really like to see a bit more progress or signs of actual development, as an investors, its troubling when a dev is inactive for multiple days, with a team of 7, you should really have your own PR rep to look after twitter and bitcointalk. daily updates are a minimum on a 600BTC project.

ive never actually heard of bitgo, what are there reasons for tumbling the coins?

do you have the spreadsheet outlining where the btc funds have been allocated?
Great cross year news, Anticipated will be dedicated to bitcoin Christmas gift

We will have more collaborative announcements soon.

1.) We have been working on some bugs reported from VPN users and mainnet bugs.

2.) We had a great "Bitcoin Documentary" interview for the HBO series. The Bitcoin Embassy is really awesome to have asked us to participate.

3.) Tilecoind in progress.

Apparently I did TileCoin Presale XTC   0.752975   on Bter.com - can't remember it, hope it isn't much but I'm wondering with the latest news going around... Any way I can withdraw them? Wallet, something? Some feedback would be great Smiley
