ok, I finally updated the POW schematics.

Not just for V3, but also V1 and V2.

How much pre-mine of this coin?

I cant find it...

Any reason why you need x64 wallet so hard?  Cheesy
Mining on x64 gives considerably bigger hashrate

6400 blocks until fork.

Everyone update your wallets.

https://github.com/zettel-kasten/zettelkasten/releases/tag/v0.9.17.1

No 64bit wallet for Windows yet? I'm not sure how hard it may be to compile one, is there a bounty for coming up with the 64bit binary?

I see that about 65 % of all nodes have upgraded.

Good.

But can we do better?

If you are a miner and haven't updated yet you will run the risk of mining on the wrong chain after block >= 200k.

Watch out!

Fork will happen in 5000 blocks (ca 3.5 days)

This is what supporters need to understand, that there is no 100% GPU/ASIC resistant. If it is profitable enough, engineers can build ASICs in secret and mine in secret. It's up to the developers to continuously innovate to make their coin GPU or ASIC resistant.
making an asic, require huge knowledge, and lots of money (>100k$), this coin hasnt real price yet, so it's not "profitable" (so nobody will make an asic for this)

true, but we are just 4 months old, and will be listed on an exchange eventually. Just a matter of time.

The real concept to grasp here is: will an ASIC firm be able to design and manufacture a new ASIC every 100k blocks?

... is it 100% gpu resistant?

Nothing is 100% GPU (or even ASIC) resistant. It's just a matter of effort and money whether someone will succeed in creating a GPU miner.

Our approach with ZETTEL and its constantly evolving "Burgerhash" algorithm is that every 100k blocks (ca 10 weeks) we are increasing the complexity of the POW algorithm,
so that any hypothetical GPU-miners (should they come into existence) become obsolete.

What's the best pool for mining tests. I have a lot of free cpu power;)

We have no pools (yet).
(Also, we have the Spread-Pool-Prevention-Feature, so it will make the creation of pools more complicated.)

Everyone is solo-mining with their CPU(s) using the built-in miner.

We are still in the phase where everyone even with an average CPU should "probably" find a block a day.  Wink

If you just want to do a few mining tests, I'd recommend you try our testnet (which is its own coin called BURGER / Burgerhash):

https://github.com/zettel-kasten/burgerhash/releases

Both ZETTEL and BURGER have identical protocols and POW algo.
But since BURGER is ZETTEL's testnet, it is already mining SDKPGABSPC, while ZETTEL has a strict fork schedule: switching to SDKPGABSPC at block 200k (in ca 4 days)

Now it works, only one thing did me strike strange - because as algo is still given the old SpreadDoubleKetchupPrimegradeABeef and not the new one, which is SpreadDoubleKetchupPrimeGradeABeefStickyPuffyCheese (which is an aussum name indeed, haha) in the description in the wallets mining area. But the Version is rightly given with v0.9.17.1 in the about-section, so i do hope best.

This is how it's supposed to be.

It will switch automatically to SpreadDoubleKetchupPrimeGradeABeefStickyPuffyCheese after block >=200k.
Right now we are still in SDKPGAB phase (for the remaining ca 6000 blocks)

If you have v0.9.17.1 (protocol 70021) then you are good, and your wallet (and miner) knows how do handle SDKPGABSPC and will simply switch automatically from SDKPGAB to SDKPGABSPC starting with block 200k:

https://github.com/zettel-kasten/zettelkasten/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L1490

Nothing else needed for you to do!  Smiley

interestingly interesting here.

Is the algorithm only cpu, is it 100% gpu resistant? What's the best pool for mining tests. I have a lot of free cpu power;)

Pool for Future-Airdrops already at 9.000.000 NDL
New release for windows and linux is ready:

https://github.com/zettel-kasten/zettelkasten/releases/tag/v0.9.17.1

Please update.

This is a mandatory update, we have a fork at block 200k (in ca 6 days)

Just updated to the new version, transition was smooth. I also urge everybody to upgrade ASAP!
Don't get on the wrong side of the chain  Wink

me too

it was a bit ugly, as i didn't know, if i had to download the whole chain again - and after 2 hours of trying i simply did it.

Block for me at the moment is: 193850.

Thumbs up!
