in which way is this ddos-save? i thought you have to have a masternode signing the Transaction first ?!?
The order of transaction signing is not forced to be in any special order. There just have to be a signature from all inputs. Every signature confirms the complete transaction, ie all inputs and outputs.
The possible scenario for DoS (don't need to be distributed attack) is mainly contamining the network with dust transactions, ie transactions that are never intended to be fullfilled. That's reason for the improvement (not sure if I will implement it in the first version): if the transaction need to be signed, it also holds the input so possible attacker cannot send unlimited amount of dust transactions. But there might also be some way to do it without the need to sign the original coinjoin request.

Edit: This is the part of signing code that calculates the hash to be signed:
Code:
    // Blank out other inputs' signatures
    for (unsigned int i = 0; i < txTmp.vin.size(); i++)
        txTmp.vin[i].scriptSig = CScript();
    txTmp.vin[nIn].scriptSig = scriptCode;
The other signatures are not included on the new signature. This means they can be signed in any arbitary order, as long as everyone signs otherwise the same transaction.

ok thanks - its unusual but make sense - good work

I have spoken to the dev about this and i'm told they don't understand how mining works and it will probably take

around .5btc to get another multipool onboard to mine sync for the pool.

i think thats reasonable for all of us that want to help sync with mining and have a proper pool

with stats that we ourselves can calculate daily. Thats not to much to ask is it?

I would think that its in everyones best interest who mines to chip in a little and get this done

ASAP. According to the pool there are close to 200 workers mining if we can't scrape .5btc together

to get the pool we want and yes we will probably vote on whihc one to use or better still

we get paid out in btc and buy sync ourselves or the alternative is you can continue to keep getting raped.

let me or MSCOLLEC know you want to contribute and we will make everything transparent and fair

I don't have to do this but I reckon its the least  i can do to help to get sync going

Its as simple as that, those that want to help please do and PM me

THE MORE I LOOK INTO THIS THE MORE CLEAR IT BECOMES THAT WE ARE ALL BEING RIPPED OFF BY THIS MULTIPOOL  Angry

THEY ARE DAMAGING OUR COIN AND PLEASE USE YOUR BRAINS DO YOUR DUE DILLIGENCE

DONT BUY INTO THEIR CRAP ABOUT MH/BTC THEY CAN'T PR WON'T SHOW YOU HOW THEY TAKE YOUR HASHES

AND SELL THEM ON, WHY?

CALACULATE IT YOURSELF IF YOUR WERE MINING ON WAFFLE POOL OR ANY OTHER AND HOW MNAY SYNCS YOU COULD BUY WITH THAT

WHY IS IT THAT THE SYNC PRICE HAS NOT MOVED AT ALL FOR THE LAST MONTH EVEN WITH A MULTIPOOL SUPPOSEDLY PURCHASING EVERY DAY

AND THERE IS PLENTY OF HASHES ON THERE TO MAKE A DENT.

TAKE A PAGE OUT OF THE MINERALS PLAYBOOK AND STAND UP FOR WHAT YOU ARE OWED

OR BE RIPPED OFF BUT NOW I KNOW FOR CERTAIN

WOW THIS HAS GOT TO ME THE MOST DEPRESSING STSTE OF AFFAIRS TO THINK I'VE JUST SPENT 3 WEEKS

MIONG FOR SOMEONE ELSE AND NOT EVEN HELPING SYNC AT ALL THIS IS DISGRACEFULL

+1 That what i said last time multipool is a ripoff .. since that time im mining the coin of the day sell it eand buy sync on my own its like 5x more profitable . no need a genius to figure that out.

Quote
honestly...i dont care for whatever maths youre putting in there.
multipool says: 0.00093044 BTC/MH/day
i had 4.08MH pointed at your pool, that would make around 0.00372176 btc daily.
if i got to Poloniex i get 0.01431446 sync (NOW) daily and i got 0.0087979 for around 40 hours of mining!

trying not to be a troll, but this is the simplest math i could make.

also, without any kind of historic stats to check what happened this is just bull...

At the very least the value of BTC/Day you speak of in site is misleading people.

Update your pool, do not mislead people, i will be happy to mine there.

i did try multipool as well .. received 0.01230539 for 48h . running x11 at 7MH ... better buy sync on your own its 5x more profitable .. sorry to say but multipool payout seem to be really off the market ..

I mine there because i want to help this coin .. but whit those kind off payout only thing it does its slowing down the coin .. anyway if people on multipool will buy themself SYNC .. there will be much more buy order then it could skyrocket ..

Heya all, I'm also on the mac wallet and only get 6-7 connections and a shit ton of orphans!! Where can I find this config file? I thought it was normal, now i'm bummed because i've been staking for weeks!

you could try adding MAXCONNECTIONS=1000 to your conf file. Also saw somebody saying they were saving from rich text format. You want raw text, no formatting.

I've not had the problem, so I'm guessing. But that did help with other coins.

Excellent White Paper better than most out there!

The price is beginning to climb again Wink as more people start to notice

this little gem.

If you are active on other threads why not casually slip in sync to the convo

always an excellent way to get people interested

Well done Dev and nite! Grin
