I got latest client (correct client versions numbers would help a lot as many people suggested before). Am I on wrong fork or something?

At one point wallet says it's syncing...and that it's catching up...16 blocks remaining...then it's "synced" but still at same block...dafuq?
Did you take the latest wallet? there was a second upgrade. Try installing it fresh and delete all expect wallet.dat. Start and redownload blockchain. Then restart wallet couple of times, should work now

Have you try to redownload the blockchain?
However I think we should be in the same fork as 8210 is the last fork and you are at 8234

hm okay, i will wait for my payout. maybe they did it manually so it can take a Little bit of time
