Of course. Failovers will still work. The mining control will automatically switch to one of the other pools, even when CPU-mining. By design, minerd doesn't support fallback, so we had to implement it specially.

Will the pools be closed on a rotating basis (failovers will work) or will they all go down together?

I just restarted mayas pool wallet, maybe you noticed that. Tomorrow we will start, as announced with pool database cleanup. Also the redundancy daemons will be setup on the pools. That means each pool will be closed for about 8 hours, until all mined blocks are confirmed and payed out. I'll check the POS immediately.

Okay, you can accuse me of cheerleading. 

I saw that other altcoins are being created with the same ideas. We have competition...hardcore competition. This one called hyperstake  pays 750% interest on all saved coins. Its experimental and only x11 so not as efficient as groestl but the idea of encouraging saving is becoming more prevalent. I understand what your saying about having the freedom to do what ever you want with your money. What I'm saying is that some people actually want to make more interest on their money by putting it into those types of unspendable long term accounts. In other words I like the freedom to choose from different savings options. It adds diversity to the types of users you would attract. So right now the base POS system begins to mature after 7 days for up to 2 years at 20% interest and can be sold at any time during the maturation process. What I'm proposing is not to change what you already have but to add the option to make the account unspendable for the same amount of time with say 60% interest? and possibly in the future 4 years and 8 years options. I understand from a dev point of view this just sounds like more work but from a consumer point of view its exciting.

The installer will get some more modifications soon, like on demand download of blockchain and different options for fixing the sync problem and preloading the blockchain. Regarding the mining tools detected as malware, there's not really much we can do but try to contact the AV companies and submit false positives.

We love the Web site as well. It really did turn out great. Also, thank you for contacts. The plan was to polish everything first, then switch into 2nd gear and contact them personally. Until then we' d like to ask the community to help us get noticed.

Norton still flags the installer on launch, but only with a warning, and with the option to continue with the install.

I also forgot to mention the website. It's certainly one of the best as well. Well designed, pleasing to the eye, and to the point, highlighting all the key aspects without excess verbiage. A first class website that's good looking, intuitive, and succinctly informative!

We already contacted Moolah/Mintpal, since they also offer direct exchange to Fiat. Actually, community has to start pushing Cryptsy to accept us. Basically, if we want the best, we have to go for the best.

Thank you guys for your great ideas. The first idea is of course economically sound but somehow we think that there are other options for creating scarcity and keeping the people from selling cheep. One of AidBits main ideas is also freedom - freedom to do whatever you want with your money. Wouldn't be better to win people over with our vision and passion and not by a binding contract. It just reminds us too much of rigid banking systems. At this point we'd like to direct our energy into spreading the AidBit over as wide audience as possible.This should have a same effect, if not better.

HR, your humanitarian idea is great and very close to something we have in mind.  But first things first.

I think now it is the time to consider to push AID onto different exchanges,including cryspty though it is alway no easy thing.
The fork and pos issues are addressed and stable now.
How about sending request to Mintpal,Bittrex ,Poloniex,C-cex?
After all,more exchanges do not hurt.

Built-in SGMiner works just fine on our mining rigs. Use the debug option to get more information.

Right now we're working on most problematic issues, like modifying the installer not to include the mining tools but download them during the install and acquiring code signing certificate, to prevent Browsers from detecting the AidBit installer as malware. We're also in the process of Windows build environment optimization to make the Windows client as stable as possible.

In the mean time we started increasing our marketing operations and preparing media information. The first priority for AidBit right now is to get accepted on reliable and safe trading platform, preferably one which offers direct exchange to fiat.
