Bootstrap should be in %appdata% in the amsterdamcoin folder

I think so. Glad there are some marketing effort.

Yes. You'll know it's working because the wallet will say "importing blocks"
Sadly it's not much faster than regular syncing.

I put in the %APPDATA/roaming/amsterdamcoin2/ folder, but nothing happened.

Did you unpack the zip so that a file called bootstrap.dat appears?

We only want the FACTS!
I updated my block explorer to the latest wallet version.  It is still catching up on the blockchain and still hogging a lot of CPU & Mem resources.

I have a few deadlines to meet over the next week.  When I get through those I will help identify why my low resource node is stuggling to catch up.

This coin is better than every other coins. Why don't you fork it and launch an IPO with another name (and this time, 100% PoS) ? If you hire some new developers you can definitely create the ultimate coin ! Implementing the ZeroCoin protocol for instance !

AmsterdamCoin stays, no IPO of whatever. Just my plan that I will present soon.

Sure, okay I understand. But in any case, your coin is more useful for the entire world, not just for the city of Amsterdam Smiley

And question from someone who does not particularly know a lot of things: why Amsterdamcoin's marketcap is so low compared to others coins (Dash, PIVX) despite they got less features ? What is preventing AmsterdamCoin's from adoption ?

Development of the coin had been at a stand still for 2 years+. keesdewit, like Many other devs, was not able to win trust of the community And wallet had a lot of bugs. Current price is actually high if you ask me, but traditional technical analisis does not really Apply for crypto, as iT is so New. Only if yobit takes coin out of maintenance And keesdewit delivers a Road map that is appealing And that he is going to keep up with Will this coin Be able to go a lot higher. I Am from netherlands And know that the Will to take Ams to the next level is there, but network needs to be stable And more people have to show dedication for them to really take on this challenge. Keesdewit showing himself more often is a start, but at this point this coin can multiply its value 10 times, just as easy as it losing 90% of its value.

You're so right, except yobit. This exchange is quite fishy also manipulating markets and not the right one for a serious coin.
It would be better to try going back to Bittrex as well as aiming Polo.

Yobit sucks, I think bittrex or poloniex is a good idea

I think we would have a better change on Livecoin, or Bleutrade.  Not the big guys but better than other low cap exchanges.

AmsterdamCoin should get on as many good exchanges as possible. Yobit does not suck in my opinion. We should remember that AmsterdamCoin was ICO launched at Yobit. The 100% buy wall system during that ICO caused me to get out with zero development fund. But that was my own ignorance because I had the choice for 50% or even 0% buy walls. At the time I did not realize how it would work out.

I did the listing request for poloniex. Hope that many of you will follow. Never give up on this I would say. AmsterdamCoin is 1.5 year old coin with 1 million+ blocks in the blockchain. And we are still here.
