Amsterdam coin project is still an active project.  Real life happens to get in the way of things and delays how things happen.

But the Dev is still around and he has support.  So I wouldn't give up on the coin just yet!

This coin is really old, I'm sure that most of the people had dumped their coins and moved onto a better coin by now.

I am working on an update to fix the sync problems. First I will try to update the current wallet and if that does not work we can swap.

Just a token on a centralized network.  I am not a fan.

Ethereum is a network controlled by a small number of people and lots of politics.  It is only 3-4 yrs old and barely survive a hack and hard-fork.  Not sure if it is too big to fail, but I do not have much confidence in it.

There is an advantage to having your own independent blockchain, you chose the algo, the block times, and the money supply.  You can create sidechains and smart contracts without paying Eth taxes.

Just my opinion.

Are you going to change the coin algorithm from quark to daggarhash?
Or is the coin going to be integrated into the ethereum network?
Or am I completely wrong?

At the moment I am thinking about a swap. The direction that I think of is to base the new AMS coin on an ETH token.

The debug file showing 751 Orphan blocks is the bug that I am tracking down.

On my machines, Linux and Windoze a wallet restart usually gets it going again.

Now my wallet has gone up to 2 days left, and in the debug log file it keeps filling up with orphan blocks
I also tried creating a new wallet on another computer, neither wallet goes beyond block 943604

I feel your pain!

My nodes will lose sync after a month or two.  I need some time to look for a solution to this.
