Hiya's,

well, now that the wallet and syncing are working,

the pools and exchanges have vanished.

We'll have to do something.

Suggestions.

1. Mining Pool.

2. Exchange.

 Huh

too bad i think we need first a miningpool to keep the coin alive and secondary at least one exchange, maybe its better to ask a little one?
and as i said i can make a new website if someone has hosting space, i can help promoting and more  but unfortunaetly i have not much knowlegde with cryptos.

lets do something
we must do something  Grin

yup thats about right. someone here with some pull and credentials  should talk to cryptsy. They might allow this in since its fixed now and better community is growing. just a suggestion.

Should be a really good sho-ooo-oo-ooo (Ed Simian)
Perhaps cheetah3 has some suggestion for which step to take next.

We have been given a working wallet, (Thank you.)
We need an exchange.
We need a mining pool.

I have no idea on how to make an exchange, so, we need lobbyists.

I might  be able to create a pool.
?? Never tried it though.

Have I got it right?

would anyone be interested in forming a team to "takeover" the takeover?
Or at least help with the development
and promoting ASR..

MY main ideas are: new website, hit up the major exchanges, making the currency useful outside of exchanges, and of-course updating the code and maintaining it

Yes totally Smiley
I can make a website if anyone has hosting space!
lets make a takeover from the takeover and i am a big science fiction fan.

let's do something!

Confirming it works, all the downloads are good and clean.

I used the windows installer, works OK.

I used cheetah3's peers.dat and the fixed-blocks file and they worked also, no problems.

The wallet exe works and loaded my wallet ok. My astros were there.

It synced in no time because I used the fixed-blocks file. Seconds.

I went to coinedup and got some astrocoin ASR and sent it to my wallet successfully, no problems.

I have been running it for a half a day, it's still ok.

cheetah3 needs a pat on the back.

This is what we have been waiting for I think.

A functional wallet with an updated OpenSSL version that isn't old and vulnerable,
like a lot of other altcoin wallets that still have to be updated.

Thank you cheetah3.

Great job, cheetah3. The wallet works very well. No problems so far.

yes it works, just remember to use that blockchain that dev gave above in that topic.

That fork with blockchain I did not find where is it.. But it possible to fix without downloading additional blocks.
Developers where are you? - let's fix together.

Actually very strange issue but its ok, coin is very nice.

I will try to move over that "chain update" later, maybe next week.

And also maybe will make it with latest Bitcoin 0.9.2 version, there a lot of updates.

If no devs online - community should to resolve, to make all users more happy.

(no sandbox, no viruses, sorry, forgot to include viruses control)

Thanks guys!

P.S. unix/linux users - please build with instructions doc/ build_unix - this is work.
Static binary for linux still not collected. If someone will find how to - will be nice.
All together - we will win Wink

Wish a nice day to all!

I do not synchronize the wallet help please

Wallet update coming in a week, transactions supposedly work in the meantime if synced to 0 hours:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=516549.140

If you still can't sync to 0 after downloading the new wallet, clear the entire %appdata% folder except for the wallet.dat and reinstall wallet AND blockchain with link at the beginning of that thread. Mine wouldn't sync either when I just tried to install the new wallet/blockchain over it.

Issues with "out of sync" and "can't sync to 0" messages are fixed in new AstroCoin Core I posted above. Try it.
But we still awaiting confirmation from dev about new 0.9.1 version.
As for me - I already using new 0.9.1 Core wallet - works nice Wink

Looking good, am going to try it in a sandbox and see how it works.

Hi all!

I'm not a dev. Just made updated wallet AstroCoin Core. (based on Bitcoin Core 0.9.1).
Compiled for Windows  and MacOS.

AstroCoin Core based on latest Bitcoin Core (0.9.1).

In AstroCoin Core 0.9.1 fixed several typos of AstroCoin version 0.8.6:
- incorrect "(out of sync)" message and ticker icon.
- port numbers in translations are changed to AstroCoin ports.
- fixed incorrect checkpoint value in checkpoints.cpp

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This version of AstroCoin Core wallet was built without any additional payment to help integrate the latest Qt wallet.
If you love new AstroCoin Core wallet and wish to donate - kindly donate to me:
---- Remember to backup your wallet before run updated version! ----
Note: there was some issue on block 17517. If you downloading AstroCoin first time - remember to download blocks and copy them into
AstroCoin data directory. (for Windows it C:/Users/YourUSERNAME/AppData/Roaming/AstroCoin/
(blocks re-packed from developer astrocoin-blocks.rar file posted by dev above)
astrocoin-fixed-blocks.zip 24.0 MB  https://mega.co.nz/#!0l5khRzC!aV5ZLOEWwTTJLbik6Mws7ietuSRQxDUaWK5fc85q4DM
If still "no connection" - you can try download peers.dat file here:
peers.zip 196 KB  https://mega.co.nz/#!AhwBDALJ!yD1Mz8SWsF_GuBKORmAoOGWwGcAu8NXBIxGEUImOgig
unpack peers.zip and copy peers.dat file into the AstroCoin data directory.
Developer - thanks for a nice coin Wink
AstroCoin now has it's own page on http://coinwik.org a wikipedia listing all the alt coins to help you quickly find facts and links about your favorite coin.
We need the community to help us out!
The blockchain is stuck and we need people to download the wallet (0.9.0 ONLY!) and add these Nodes:
(Important! keep the wallet OPEN for the next few days!)
astrocoin.no-ip.biz
coin-base.info
188.187.61.58
85.25.197.186
94.153.88.241
92.124.127.124
81.65.188.29
118.209.90.143
Open HELP then Debug window then go to Console and type addnode Nodes add
We don't need many more nodes on 0.9.0 only about 10 or so!
Expect price to recover as soon as the blockchain is up and running smoothly again!
