One technical question.
How dev is going to execute the airdrop smoothly?

Do Islanders need to apply for their share?
Is it going to be automated?

How dev is going to make sure coins woild be distributed properly?
Anyone has a clue??

I have mined in this Pool 2 hours and have got almost 1 Auroracoin. I saw it at Unconfirmed balance. Then suddenly was my balance at 0 and all my shares was marked as orphaned.
Before that, about 1 day, I could not enter my payment address. Only after I have written educatedwarrior here in the forum, it was made possible to enter it at the pool site.
Who wants to mine at this pool, can do it with pleasure. I'm out.

You took that photo out of context.  They did get block 1039 and 1040 orphaned.  Not normal to see two in a row...but none other have orphaned since then.  Maybe you got unlucky?

At https://aur.cryptoculture.net/ I had lost ALL my shares.

At http://aur.pool-a.net/ I had lost no one shares.

I'm mining with both pools and had no orphans so far.

Exactly.  That guy is just trying to push traffic to the other pool.

Here's the proof

I am interested in this and am familiar with the troubles Iceland went through with the banking problems.

In order for me to have faith in this I would have to know more about the dev's here.

You guys are going to have to come forward and explain how you plan to distribute this. You can't just say "were going to pass them out...honest."

Actually, I've had similar problems.  I got 16 shares today, 4 were orphaned.  That's 25%!

I am going back to http://aur.pool-a.net/
There was it always OK, never got "orphaned" shares.

Just started mining with them yesterday and have had one share orphaned out of the last 13.

We mined 900 AuroraCoins in the last 24 hours.

We could use more hashpower at   CryptoCulture.

About 2 hours of mining at your pool and ALL my shares have been recognized as orphaned?! It's not normal!

Once this coin hits coinmarketcap/coinwarz multipools will be all over it. Watch it get dumped and be worth pennies. The Iceland people will be holding 31.8 auroracoins worth less than a dollar.

There's been a lot of media coverage already, this is a never seen before experiment, and if this really goes down as planned it could be absolutely hudge - the potential is astronomical. I'm willing to take that risk and am mining as much as I can. And even if it doesn't go as planned, the community can fork it to make it happen.

I've been planning on mining some more when diff drops to 2 as estimated by the pools but then it never does, it's always 20+ so yea, the pools diff estimation is just wrong.

Just looked at one of the pools... current difficulty 25, estimated next difficulty 2.3 in 1000 blocks @11 mins/block? That means the next difficulty retarget is a week away, and it's going to be a massive drop.

Big miners and multipools have been pushing up difficulty then abandoning the coin at the next retarget for what, 2-3 years now? This is a known problem; I don't understand why a new coin in 2014 would have such a long retarget period. Do you really want this coin bouncing between X 4 and X 0.25 difficulty adjustments? Or have people completely abandon it because the difficulty is stuck at an impossibly high level?

It's especially important around launch, where people are more inclined to try something new, then move on. Peacecoin is dead because it's at difficulty 16, retargeting isn't for 1800+ more blocks, and it's been more than 2 days since one was minted. At this rate it will stay stuck at difficulty 16 for years.

The diff predictor rating is not credible. The diff was going from 20-40 today, it's actually surprisingly popular by miners. And yeah, the difficulty seems so change every few hours.
