After reading the topic I heard the name of Trevon James many times, and it appeared that I saw that fancy guy few times previously.
But what's important is that he released his latest video "MY UPDATE ON BITCONNECT!" and you know, it's full of sense.
On my opinion it can really help those Bitconnect lenders, who still hold their BCC and wait for the next step...
Dude he was one of the biggest pumpers of this scam, and was high up on  the mlm list he didn't lose a nickel only took some of yours. He should be banned from youtube.

I am one of those people who after investing hard earned money into Bitconnect realized it was a mistake to do so.

Hopefully you will be better at recognizing scams in the future.

https://bitconnect.co/system-news/95/bitconnect-update-regarding-the-changes-to-lending-and-exchange-functions/

Dear community members, the current BCC price drop is the direct result of us releasing all of our members coins at one time. We will do our best to honor the value of BCC as close to what it has been holding during past several months. At this time, we are closing the lending platform only. The BCC Exchange will work as usual from tomorrow and the wallet service will remain operational to hold your BCC on the website.

For next 10 days we are allowing members outside the U.S.A, to participate in the BitConnect X ICO with BCC at $150. This is to support existing coin holders and give the BCC coin some initial stability after these recent events.

We are launching a new, superior system as an exchange that will support several cryptocurrencies as soon as possible and BCC will be listed immediately.

BitConnect Coin are limited in supply to 28 million and there are currently only 9.6 million in circulation. This scarcity of supply should create a market demand, with help and support from the community, once this new exchange begins operation.

We still expect BitConnect coin (BCC) to gain its value back and you can hold your coins in the website wallet or transfer them to a QT wallet.

We apologize for this inconvenience and we are working to get things corrected for this community and platform.

Best Regards,
The Team BitConnect

BTW thanks to "Dooglus" for giving me negative feedback for 'promoting a ponzi' lol  Has he bought any bitcoin in his life I wonder, which is far more of a ponzi? Also, looking at his feedback he does this a lot whenever he thinks people are talking about a 'ponzi'. One of the deluded ones.

I am really curios what is the total loss. the market cap was 2bill+ for bitconnect but actually that was the value of some coins which were bought and resold  by Bitconnect. the total loss (in $ value) could be so much more.
The price of the coin will not give you your answer. the price of the coin was pure manipulation on there part. they would most days be the only buyers driving prices. and resale at whatever market price they made. they controlled most ll the coins

Is there a tiny chance that BCC will recover or is it certainly over forever?
Forever and ever, it will still exist in their thoughts and minds every time they buy a new Bentley and penthouse. every year.

The people who are selling are practically giving their BCC away. If Bitconnect want to exit, they would have just shut down all their sites and just ran away like those copycat lending programs did. Better to be a little patient and see what will happen. It ain't over till it's over.

If they did, people would be wanting to hunt them down and murder them. That's why "Joost" eventually succumbed and (I think) started refunded people's Confido, if they still had them.

But I agree - if you invested a lot into BCC, might as well not sell now... if it goes to $1 (which it should) then you lost a little. If it bounces to $200 and you sell, you lose a lot.
Dreamer$200 go back to sleep. of course they still got all the money.

sorry... what about who's lending on poloniex?... what's the difference?..
maybe a stupid question... but someone can give me a less stupid answer?...

When you lend coins on Poloniex you are lending them to real people who use them to margin trade. Poloniex charges the borrowers interest and gives you most of that interest. It's a real loan, serving a real purpose and earning real returns.

When you lend coins to Bitconnect they don't do anything with them, don't earn any returns, and pay you back with less coins than you loaned them since the price of their token goes up faster than the interest they are paying you. When the price of the token stops going up it is no longer profitable for them to offer loans so they cancel the program causing the price of their token to drop instantly. They end up with your BTC and the victims end up with worthless tokens.

Do you see the difference?

Everything you want, is everything you need.

This is lol.. Reason why there's a lot of people falling for scams. Guy is a Senior Member, was new to crypto 7 months ago and then started mining crypto. 7 months later still new to crypto.  Grin

I do not see now all those defenders of Bitconnect and hyping it before. And whatever happened bitconnect's super trading bot making them lots of profits?

im more interested in how it feels to be a hero member

it feels good to be a Hero. take your time, you'll eventually get there. just don't post you are still new to crypto when you've already signed up a few months back and have made tons of comments here in bitcointalk.
