i mined 4 blocks in 2 days, with 6 westmere-cores

maybe it is about your inet-connection

edit:
you can add 2 more blocks, mined in about 10h.

node says i'm on actual block
miner constantly says i'm 27-30 minutes behind
latest version
mine since mainnet launch
no blocks on 8core CPU's on "actual" chain, but over 2K coins on wrong
WTF, gentlemens ?
strange things after 1 year of testnet
Good idea is to use high-performance AWS EC2 machines.
You will use the credit codes to minimize the bills, then it can be more profitable.
i have high-performance my own machines: 8-16-32
but no have results
it's not about performance, it's about right synchronization

It seems 8 cores is not enough power to find blocks anymore. Only chance is with a pool but there are none yet, or to rent some powerful vps servers. But Might be better off just buying coins at this point. Good luck.

If you are mining there is a trade off on cpu threads between the node and the miner. If you have too many threads on the miner then the node may not have enough cpu to keep connections and chain in synch (and vice versa) you need to experiment a little to get the right balance.

You can start the miner with a lower CPU priority and then you can have as much miner threads as you want. E.g.

nice -n 20 python miner.py

Are there any exchange where I can buy Bismuth? Also are there any standalone miner?

You can trade on this thread

At present, there is no pool, no exchange! Wait patiently! Maybe you can buy from miners!

bismuth is for smart and rich!!! that is for the elite)))

Are you saying you're not smart?

I agree with that assessment.  The "rich" an "elite" part, not so much...
and beautiful as you)))
