nice is good the hypernodeses start this week!

Yes is nice to see developers are committed to this project and deliver what they say they will deliver. From my point of view this is telling a lot about the project and the team as many teams out there are announcing all sort of things and never deliver, even if they are forks of other coins, not a coin built from ground up like Bismuth. Great to see this amount of work in this short period of time. Congrats!

You must host on the vultr.com.
Thanks, hope there will be some instruction for dummy on how to set it up.

Here are the instructions on how to set up a node or wallet on Linux:

Since I don't have any clue about VPS setup, can you recommend some VPS service provider that can run the HN?

There may be some services that crop up offering hypernode setup or even hosting services or 'shared' nodes where you split the collateral.

Some projects support it, others dont. Not sure where bismuth stands.

I always stay away from any service that involves sending your coins to another address where you don't control the private key.
Me neither,

I'm just curious if I rent a vps and run the node there. In case of the VPS got hack, can I lose my coins?

Yes the machine requirements are a bit higher than usual, but this can be lowered later, we did this because we don't know how the HyperNodes will perform in real conditions. Anyway you can try with a low end hardware and see how it performs, then you can tune up the machine.

About the rewards, the PoS chain will collect metrics about the HyperNodes and you will get rewards on weekly basis. As for "where the reward come", from the miners; 0.8 BIS/block will be taken from PoW mining rewards and the HyperNodes holders will be rewarded for their contribution to the network.

For more info about the HyperNodes please come to our Discord: https://discord.gg/4tB3pYJ and check #news channel. Also you can follow our twitter accounts for more info about the project and updates: https://twitter.com/bismuth_cz and https://twitter.com/bismuthdev

Best regards, G

Pretty interesting project, interested in this idea of nodes alongside mining, anyone link me to more information on this?

After some digging found:

https://github.com/EggPool/BismuthHowto/blob/master/Masternodes/masternode.MD

and

https://github.com/bismuthfoundation/masternodes/blob/master/doc/HyperNodes_FAQ.md

So a node right now is ~$5400 usd (10k BIS)

Requirements as far as hardware are a bit more than other masternodes but this is expected because of difference of hypernodes vs regular dash based MNs.

It's interesting that it will have a separate POS chain but no currency...the nodes but me rewarded with BIS somehow but how and where will that come from?

Will wait for more information about this but following..

I like that this project is different from the rest, because Bismuth is the world's first block-block Python, not based on Bitcoin code or any of its derivatives.
