Why is batl blockexplorer is showing proof of work for latest blocks and POS blocks are delaying? Is someone mining this coin? And it should take less than 10 hours to have 500 confirmations at 64 second block time for minted blocks, right?
What I've understood is that now, with the first wallet, POS is not enabled.
I think that everyone can mine blocks for now (I've mined 3 blocks with my raspberry pi :-)).

Received - thanks Smiley

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out and of course will continue watching Bitstar's further development with interest.

Yes they are removed from the supply, although I would bet the block explorer would show them in the total supply as it would have no way to know they cannot be moved.  No expert here, but my two cents worth......

That is actually one of the directions we intend to encourage for the development of Bitstarcoin, should this experimental coin project be a success.

Hopefully we don't run out of bitstars  Cheesy.  How is in the future possible to burn bitstars without hardforks? Is it possible to have one giant graveyard for burned coins that client takes into account when calculating coins in circuit? This would be nice feature for in future burning processes.

You create a impossible address that passes send verification but is impossible to generate a priv key for, this is the bitcoin code for doing such a thing: https://gist.github.com/CoinWhisperer/6d673f1f3d13da1611cd

think it only takes a couple of changes to make it work for any coin

Yes i understand that part but does that remove coins from actual supply of coins? So that You know how much are available?

You can only burn so many BITS though, so I don't really see how that would work.

Haven't seen how this one works yet.  One step at a time.

jakiman is back!
Devs, I hope you guys make this type of purchase more integrated & automated within the BITS wallet or web-site later on.
That would really make BITS become a currency/medium to buy-in on any new experiments/services/projects/coins.

That alone would make BITS more valuable & useful. Wink

It is absurd for anyone to be claiming that a few BATL created by the staking process during the brief period of time they were being held prior to distribution, are indications of nefarious intent.

You would be hard-pressed to find many other coins distributed as fairly or transparently as BATL.

A new thread for BATL will be created after the replacement wallet has been issued, which will be a PoS only codebase with 36BATL block reward for staking and the following block time rules:

http://blackcoin.co/blackcoin-pos-protocol-v2-whitepaper.pdf
Past limit: time of last block
Future limit: +15 seconds
Granularity: 16 seconds
Expected block time: 64 seconds

By maintaining the same network performance numbers BATL will be better able to ensure that any future technical changes raised by the Blackcoin project can be evaluated and considered for adoption/inclusion.

As previously discussed, this is to be an experiment in how a commercial company project can rely on the co-operation of the developers and community of a public coin network. Forks, soft and hard, along with version updates and modifications are to be expected. All with the approval of the community majority, of course.

Meant the question, not the staking.

Year, right, I got that right but I bet we were not the only ones.

Sorry slight delay sending out the batl, the coins staked before I managed to start sending them out, now have to wait for them to mature.  Will get them sent asap

Batl now distributed as per table

Ok, so if these coins staked then where are the extra coins that staked?

What the 1.5 batl? there still in the premine wallet along 1 with just under 1 batl we kept back for transaction fees when sending the premine out, explorer coming online later today/tomorrow so you can verify but as its blackcoin code and as we explained already its a static reward for this new coin.

Thanks but...

Do you think you should explain things better?

What things exactly?

You could and really it would have been better if you had told us this

when you said you where sorry that the wallet had staked moving the transfer further into the future.

Try to think about this please, we are in the dark because the full details of what this is all about is secret and secret means things are hidden, so people start wondering and not all imaginary thoughts are good ones.

Hope this answers your question, thanks.
