At 1000Mhz it gives me 2.34Mh/s with instant 99% usage, unlike other settings that slowly ramp up.
To lower CPU usage run with "START /BELOWNORMAL reaper.exe" (Windows) or "nice ./reaper" (Linux)

Thanks, I meant GPU usage from Afterburner.
But you are correct, it seems like the reaper eats up 38% of my CPU, which may affect the wallet as mentioned previously, thanks, will try the priority thing.

From normal reaper info:

Set thread_concurrency to 64 * bus_width_of_card_in_bits.  So, for a 7950, that would be 64 * 384 = 24576.
but is also saw for 7770 use 8000

My 7770 stabilized at 792MH/s with just less than 10,000 shares have found 7 blocks on took less than 5 min there is a LOT of variance this early in the game.

Wow, I really hate you now, I got 4 blocks at 30 000 shares, running at 7GH/s and still getting next to nothing.

Any recommended settings for 7950 and 7970 cards?

GPU usage at 99% but temps are lower than scrypt/scrypt-jane/Sha256, though my settings are just start values...
Measured with MSI Afterbruner.

Got 4 blocks from 24000 shares, one in 6000 for me, far from 1/2000.

What aggression are you at?

I am at aggression level: Very angry.
The reaper was set at agression 26, think I ran the default agg value.

Anyways, my new favorite settings for the XFX 79xx cards (that some claim are bad for mining)

worksize 256
aggression 25
threads_per_gpu 2
cpu_mining_threads 0
vectors 1
gpu_thread_concurrency 8192
sharethreads 32

At 1000Mhz it gives me 2.34Mh/s with instant 99% GPU usage, unlike other settings that slowly ramp up.
Still sucks at delivering blocks though.

/EDIT: Lowered aggression to 25 for a 2% CPU usage, that hopefully does not lock the wallet...

yes its but i am not have file reaper.cl

cat reaper.conf | grep  "mine blakecoin"
mine blakecoin
Hmm, strange. Just in case, is reaper in the same directory as reaper.conf and is that directory current?
EDIT:
Try to unpack archive again in fresh empty dir, rebuild and run w/o changing .conf files. It will fail to connect to the wallet, but may be gives more meaningful error message
cmake .
make

Looks like reaper.conf is missing or there is no "mine blakecoin" line in it.

I can see that reaper says "I am mining Blakecoin" but it closes immediately and I cant see anything else that it says. Any advice?

edit: nm i got it

definitely worth playing with the settings to find a good value for your own platform

as the popularity of Blakecoin increases I don't think it will become any easier to mine, the results so far indicate a doubling of difficulty each week  Shocked

Got 4 blocks from 24000 shares, one in 6000 for me, far from 1/2000.

On 7xxx series cards I would try this: (see the posts from others with same card for best results)

worksize 128
aggression 27
threads_per_gpu 1
cpu_mining_threads 0
vectors 1
sharethreads 8
gpu_thread_concurrency 24000

This works well on 6xxx series cards:

worksize 128
aggression 27
threads_per_gpu 1
cpu_mining_threads 0
vectors 1
sharethreads 8
gpu_thread_concurrency 12288

This works well on 5xxx series cards:

worksize 128
aggression 27
threads_per_gpu 1
cpu_mining_threads 0
vectors 1
sharethreads 8
gpu_thread_concurrency 8000

all the above can up the aggression if it is a mining rig but the wallet connections can drop if the miner is using too much cpu time so if the rig does not have a wallet running try 28-29

I have only tested
5870
6970
6950
6870
6850

I do have a Nvidia GTX 460 in my bits box will dig it out and test that once I have some spare time

I already set "device 1" in reaper.conf and copy OpenCL.dll(from C:\Windows\SysWOW64) to reaper folder.

Try "platform 1"

reaper get right now
thanks very much Smiley

x1 Diamond 7990 - 5.1GH/s @ 500W/h - 32 blocks
x2 MSI Twin 7950 - 4.1GH/s @ 600W/h - 15 blocks
x1 MSI Twin 7950 - 1.6GH/s @ 285W/h - 9 blocks
x1 Gigabyte 7950 - 1.7 GH/s @ 325W/h - 7 blocks

I'm using Kill-a-Watt meters on each rig to check power.  Also, all of the cards are running fairly cool (low 70Cs) compared to other algos.
Thanks for power usage numbers! Apparently GPU is underutilized by the kernel Sad

It works ok for VLIW 4 and 5 cards: HD 5000's and 6000's. Seems like it's not optimized for GCN cards: HD 7000's and R Series.
