We should be ready to see at least 10X more marketcap increases in coming days. The true value for Block can not be imagined as its limited supply will always push the price upwards as demand to run more nodes will increase. It is performance of 2 days which is just warm up for the true race.

Currently we are now only on one exchange Bittrex, with currently only 82 BTC volume trading on the coin in the past 24 hours.Would be great if we had at least one more or two exchanges that trades Blocknet. But,yes the price will continue to rise, because of the price per node and low coin supply. Nice!

So many people will cry later when this train will left the station I also think price would get increase significantly with huge buy pressure. Very low amount is on sell orders only wise people are buying at this price soon we will more big position.

I use obfuscation in my code and it's still "open source" I realize it goes against the standard rules of open source.

But basically just change variable and function names helps.

However the AT itself is no secret many cryptographers know how to do this. It's more the rest of the code as far as decentralized orderbooks, program logic and other things you might wanna prevent cloners from learning.

Then again clones sometimes strengthen the original codebase not only in support but occasional fixes.

WILL BE BLOCK ADDED ON POLO?!?  Shocked Shocked Shocked
BLOCK was removed from Polo last yr iirc... Don't need Poloniex, recent interest and price rise should confirm that.

As far as I can tell this is the only coin that does actual trustless atomic trading between separate chains.

I read somewhere Dan did the first trade almost a year ago. Surprising it's taken this long to start getting recognition.

We weren't happy with the implementation.

We've effectively built this thing three times, and now the security approach is where we want it to be, and the architectural direction is clear (i.e. how to best function as infrastructure for the token ecosystem).

As for the risk that a new project may steal our thunder, I'm not concerned. We have a solid community, widespread awareness of our first-mover status, a growing user base of cryptocurrencies, and increasing developer interest. Who'd contribute to some random fork when they can contribute to the main branch?

That's the appeal of open source software, really.

Additionally, we're the ones who've pioneered the token ecosystem and the "inter-chain era" and have led the market by three years. It's not too likely that another team will have grasped the intricacies of supporting this vision and will be able to steer development in a strategic way.

But hey, one of the beauties of open source is that anyone is welcome to clone us. My feeling is that attempts of this nature will only lend further credibility to our work and boost our visibility.

Is there no way to obscure or encrypt part of the code and open source after a clear lead is established? I detest copy and pasters.
Many successful projects are only opening up all of their source after they have a few generations clear lead now.
Shame to work 3 years and someone presses copy and paste straight away?
There are  obfuscation tools so people can see the source and build from it but it makes it almost impossible to make sense of the code.

I kinda agree with this.

What is stopping someone with plenty of money stealing the code, making an amazing UI and releasing a user friendly decentralised exchange before us? I mean there would be a bit of outrage at first but people would still start using it anyway because of what it is.

Block is becoming like hotcake soon those not aware will be searching to get re minimum number to run node. One can easily imagine running node for decentralized exchange will be one of the most and highly profitable in couple of months time. Investing in Block is wise decision what I took.

Lol, at this rate there will be less than 100k available on Bittrex.

You know if there is any effort to get BLOCK back on polo for trading?
