Just to let you all know that we've pulled the sell wall from Poloniex.

BLOCK will be available from Bter and Bittrex until the close of the ITO, at which point the 48 hour optional refund period begins on Bittrex.

youngmike is a parasite.  Just wanted to get that out there.

Alright.

So the sell wall that was pulled from Polo was 312 BTC.  There's 527 BTC on Bter, and another 550 BTC on Trex.  That's a total of 1389 BTC of available BLOCK.

That means currently with the Coingateway coin exchange program, the NHZ for BLOCK exchange, and BTC gathered it's a total of 1,111 BTC of BlockNet sold.  Minimum needed for the project to go ahead is 850 BTC.

Anyone know how many BLOCK have been sold on Bittrex?

I just noticed. Why did you do that before the finish of the ITO?

Because:
- open trading is enabled on Poloniex
- BLOCK is still available on the other exchanges, so removing the sell wall on Polo does not make BLOCK unavailable, it just limits the amount of coins that are freely tradable.

Additional points to ponder:
- removing the sell wall will allow the market to stabilise before the end of the ITO.
- selling below the ITO price on Poloniex makes no sense, because if the ITO doesn't make its minimum amount then refunds will be given at the price BLOCK was bought at.

Well... remember Betamax? Anyway I am quite sure that Blocknet is driven by bunch of pumpsters, maybe as last attempt to squeeze final drops from dying crap coins.

I did invested and now I am looking forward for refund, because I expected ANY proof that Blocknet is legit, but all I get was slimy FUD campaign.

Spare me the bullshit.

You should at least be honest - the fact that You removed this prediction does not mean it was not there before. Anyway, I can´t see any benefit in blocknet, as there already are few other players, including sidechains, which probably win.
Does not mean that I should not spend few coins to buy few blocks, for "what if" case. And I was right, so now I am looking forward to dump my 3k blocks. Anyway Your time is probably worthless, if You can spend it to dig in my history.. I am sorry for You.

Haha you're comedy gold! You invest in something you perceive to have no benefit. Good luck with that investment strategy buddy! And as for wasting time, you're the one wasting your time in a thread where you have no vested interest except to troll.

What stops those who have bought for cheap at poloniex, to send their block to bittrex now and sell at 0.00025 ?

Bittrex deposits and withdrawals are disabled, so you can't.  Bittrex money stays in Bittrex.

Bittrex will be hosting the Blocknet ITO. As a reminder, we are providing escrow for the development team. We are not endorsing this coin or any others on our exchange. Please do your own research before trading. Below are the FULL and DEFINITIVE terms for this ITO; no other conditions are required.

* We will review the wallet before initially adding it.
* Bittrex will host 3,400,000.00 of 10,000,000 total coins at a price of 0.00025 the ITO will value 2500 BTC across all exchanges.
* The ITO will run for 7 days beginning October 29, 2014 at 5am PDT and ending on November 5th 23:59:59 PDT
* The ITO must raise 850 BTC total across all exchanges to be considered a success.
* If success conditions are NOT met, all BTC invested will be refunded through a buy wall.
* Once the ITO is over we will verify there is working wallet, blockchain, and block explorer.
* ITO payment will be in a lump sum to Blocknet within 7 days after the ITO ends.
* No trading of the coin will be allowed until the ITO ends and escrow is released.
* ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS - by participating in this ITO, you are agreeing to the above terms.

18hr from now
Oh my bad, I thought that 7 days mean 7 days (as every ordinary ppl), not 7 days and few hours.

Why do you care so much about the timeframe? you haven't even invested.

In the end, however, I am not worried. It is my contention that superior technology will always win, and that the long term market will always choose the strongest competitor. Crypto is a vibrant and exciting world, we all need to remember to keep pushing the boundaries of what is possible daily.

Bumping for an answer..

maannn, we have to listen to two more days of fud..

This was the reason I brought up the question about refunds.  I still hold my BLOCK from the exchange and haven't sold any on Polo.  But those that have would be SOL.  What would happen to those participating coins that Coingateway holds that can't be returned because of this?  They hopefully wouldn't be put on the market to exchange for BTC because that could kill the coins.  Would the unclaimed coins be destroyed?

And what if you have a situation where someone that exchanged a participating coin for BLOCK on coingateway, instead of getting those coins back, goes to POLO and exchanges the BLOCK for BTC at the 25k buy wall?  There really is no way to control this.

And as a final note like you said, if it doesn't get funded, then all those that sold at a loss will take the loss.  Those that bought at the discounted prices will now actually make some off those purchases because they will be selling into a buy wall on POLO.  ALL OF THIS IS THEORETICALLY SPEAKING OF COURSE.

This is getting funded, but just wanted to cover the what ifs.

When it comes to refunds using any altcoins that aren't claimed on CoinGateway, we could just put up sell walls on exchanges.

This wouldn't crash the price of any alt. It would just offer refunds for the same price coins were sold at.

We'd break even (minus fees), and market cap would be restored to the altcoins.

Anyone who traded BLOCK in the interim and either profited or lost is responsible for their trading decisions. Sounds fair to me. It's a zero-sum game after all.

Yep. I agree. If you traded blocks you take the risk of not getting square in the end. However, if you bought under 25, well done if you can sell off at 25 on the wall. Always in crypto ways to profit in trading, but someone always has to lose. Keep that in mind.

Ok, fair enough..

I fail to see why this process of bittrex refund is complicated for folks. You put the money in and if you have remorse, you take your money out (minus trade fee's). If you baught at other exchanges, play by those rules. If we somehow fail to meet the goal, refunds are provided if you can account for the transactions on the chain and haven't traded against them (your mistake by playing the system). In any event, it's not like the Blocknet is going to evaporate. Pretty sure it will be around for additional trading because it has about as much value as anything else in terms of alt coin market. And there is nothing the crypto God's have stated that would preclude another round of potential funding with different terms. Get some.

Again repost from Bittrex regarding their buy wall

Quote
Somewhere along the way, there was a miscommunication and BLOCK coins were released for both trading and staking.  By enforcing the escrow terms, we put Bittrex users at a disadvantage.  To remedy this, we will put up a buy wall at the ITO price for 48 hours after the ITO ends on November 5th.  We will not allow deposits or withdrawals during this 48 hour window.  This will allow any users wanting a refund to receive one.  Once this window closes, we will pull the buy wall and evaluate the escrow terms.  If everything checks out, we will release the funds to the developer and open the wallet and market for trading.
