This is from the whitepaper. Now tell me please HOW IN THE HELL have you made decision on halving and 250 coins/block "dev/community/whatever fee" ?

Quote
III. Proposal Systems / Voting

A vote of acceptance shall require 55% of the vote
above any alternative proposals on the voting ballot.

You have just violated at least 2 major declaration/principles from the community/white paper - Bitcoin fundamentals & Proposal Systems / Voting.

Great job!

You guys crying for halving... If you want a huge supply coin, why don´t you mine Digibyte?. doge?, verge?, Sia?, etc etc??, sure all this will give tones of tokens in a day.. but then go out a try to sell them... nobody wanna touch them.!!

if you want a coin that scales you need a product attractive to buyers (investors), and nobody is buying your product if the supply is 350M in a week and 450M a few days later... People that bough at 0.01$ a few days back already lost 50% of their investment!. Halving is not dreaming on lambos.. is giving this thing a chance to survive or get ready to be the DOGE 2.0 And no we don´t need more doges please.

So why you reach out to this coin KNOWING it will have 21B supply, 12.5k reward per block halving every 4 years. Those are immutable parameters (at least 21B but the other are directly connected to it!)

I'll also put my vote for adjusting the halving period to 6-12 months instead of halving the block reward.

+1

give some time. do not rush...

Why isn't there any client for 32 bit windows? It's annoying. I want to run a node but can't.

Do I get this right? You want to lock up 250 coins per block? This coin started as "not-premined" and "no-dev tax". A just a few weeks later you want to change that because you did not get rich yet?

I am going to dump my coins as soon as possible and tell everyone I once told to invest in BitCoinZ to do the same.

I vote +1 for renaming in GreedyVultureCoin. R.I.P. BitcoinZ.

I provided my input. I would maybe add a distribution curve similar to sumo coin - a bit more dynamic than the halving in place now. The Crypto universe is fast moving;  better get the reward distributions right now to prevent changing it again and again.

Halving has not been decided from my perspective. Vote is pretty close https://goo.gl/forms/ePzHWJ4New7HoNls1
The guys who support halving can't provide a good answer why, answer to our basic questions, to our solid arguments, no hashing power is considered, no sheep logic considered.
By halving they ARE chaning immutable parameter of total supply - it will be basically impossible to reach that! It will take 80 years just to mine 10Billions of BTCZ (not assuming what has already been mined)

Personally, I disagree with the decision of halving. I want to buy some BTCZ and invest in this project. I will NOT if this choice is taken

I understand that halving, which is direct intervention in monetary supply policy, has been decided. I cant believe its happening...

What next ?? PoS ??

Let me remind you something.

The founding principles are:
 One-hundred percent decentralized development
 Zclassic spirit, Zcash core, Bitcoin fundamentals

There's nothing wrong about changing block reward as long as it's a change that makes sense. Dogecoin started with a random block reward like Luckycoin, which code was used for the coin, and then changed it to 250,000 fixed and continued its reward halving schedule. Dogecoin supply was meant to be capped but they discovered a bug in the code that would make it not be capped. Then IIRC Jackson Palmer though it was a good idea to keep it uncapped and there was no problem about that. Coins can have many problems (wolong, moolah). Block reward changing is not one of them.

Edit: typo

this halving of the block reward is a great way to improve a coin

How does it improve the coin? It just makes YOUR coins more valueable. Nothing else.

This coin started as a fair coin, like only a few coins in the past did. And now some people get greedy and want to see their BitcoinZ gain value as quick as possible. This is so sad. I hold about ~2 Million of those coins and guess what - I don't want the block rewards to be changed and I don't want halving black reward to happen sooner, because I want this coin to stay fair. I want many many new people to get a cheap start into cryptocurrency. Isn't it was this coin was all about?

If you change the rules right now, this coin is nothing but scam - like most other coins. Please keep that in mind. Don't get greedy!

Yeah. they are definitely greedy. Now they want to double their money. If your goal is not to profit in the short run, do not sell your money. Tired of those who want to be rich on the easy way

So people of community are so greedy and dreaming just now from a Lamborghini, so stupid!
Really sad to see this decision which destroys the coin.
I'm curious to see what will happen with the trading price, I predict its halving too. :-)

Good chance to buy at 35 satoshi, but now a very risky investment, maybe a total loss.

I see only negatives in halving or chaning any other parameter like applying community=dev fee (whatever you call it its a dev fee). Tell me WHY. WHY it is needed?

Reading some of the replies to block halving here and in defence of miners who have a heavy bag they are the ones who stop the price crashing by holding, these miners have a lot invested in BitcoinZ and will be effected same as anyone by reducing block rewards, but with less supply price will rise so no one looses out but I do think we need to lower coin supply with block rewards halving and nothing should be done without full support from community, this needs to be decided by a vote from us not a group chat on slack,I am in favour of changes been made but it’s important to have community supporting this change.

Agreed!
