Yes, I did step 3 as directed and it worked.  And I have Java 7-67 on 7 Pro 64 bit.

Maybe show us, which command do you use to start the generate bat?
If there is an error in it, iwill close directly.

If a .bat file gives you an issue, put in the the end of the command line "pause".

Hey Sagre, did you finally get a block yet. I finally got one...lol

Yes, I did step 3 as directed and it worked.  And I have Java 7-67 on 7 Pro 64 bit.

So, the run_generate.bat is running now? It will close when it's done creating the plots. Then just run the run.bat in the poc miner folder, then run the wallet in the burst wallet folder. Once all that runs fine, then you can run the miner.bat in the poc miner folder. You can check up you rwallet via web browser at local:8125 or the shortcut in the burstcoin wallet folder.

Yes, I got up to step 7 before it failed to do as the directions said it would.  When I double clicked the run_generate file it flashed a mining window briefly and closed it.

Now what?

run_generate shouldn't close until the plot creation is done.

You sure you did step 3: If using windows, replace the first word "java" in each of the .bat files with "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java" and "save as" each of them as .bat files again.

Also, do you have the latest java install? You might need to install both 32 and 64 bit.

Go through all the steps carefully and thoroughly.

or just add the full path to the java.exe as installed on your system to the system %PATH% env variable.

He could do that, which is easy, but easier for most just to copy and paste.

Curious, what would we back up that is equivalent to wallet.dat on burstcoin java wallet? ie. burst database file, etc.....

it's the passphrase you used to generate the pubkey used in plotting.

Oh ok, so just the passphrase and account number text file.

just the passphrase as that's the privkey. the account number (series of numbers) is your pubkey derived from your privkey.

Well whoever designed it did a real piss poor job if you have to compile the damn thing to get it to work!

i suppose you even have not try to flow the step by step guide totally, and complained three times, and how many hdd do you have , if not much , i suggest you can give up , because this when you finished this"dame thing" , you will find it is hard to mine a coin now, and you will blame more. Roll Eyes

You don't have to compile anything unless you know how to tweak the java code and want to improve it somehow. If you don't have a TB or larger at the current diff, mining will be more challenging.

Like jzhoulon said, read it step by step and a little resourcefulness, you should be fine. A little due diligence and you should be fine.

why all exchanges don't add this good coin?

because its not dump & dump coin
go mine something like doge, litecoin, doom, voot, boobs, bomb, or other shitcoins if you want to dump it on 2nd week

How the hell do you get this piece of shit program to run?  I have Windows 7 64 bit on my laptop, and I have Java 7-67 installed.  I downloaded the 1.02 wallet and the miner in post #1984 on page 100.

I have installed many coin wallets in the past, and did the same with Winzip to unpack and install this one, but the shit ass design of the wallet leaves no obvious icon with which to open the wallet!

And the miner is a piece of crap also.  I used Winzip to unpack and install it also, but when clicking on any of the batch files, a mining window flashes briefly on he screen and then closes.

So how does this piece of shit work, how is anyone mining yet, and am I missing something that is needed to make it work?

And once it works, how do I set the amount of hard drive space for it to use?

well at least i wouldn't blame others for my incompetence
go back to school dude... learn something... help your momma...
from top block finders , there are almost 400 people succeed in mining this coin, nobody call it shit coin just for its complex environment setup, he even has not seen the step or try it, just blame, he is not suit for this,,
