This coin needs a white paper that helps understand the new PoC algorithm, a lot of people are suggesting it! And it will help to see that Burst is a serious coin.
Agreed, I was talking to burstcoin about potentially reworking the algorithm a little bit.. I suspect it should actually be easier to explain and understand after the rework.. also will make parsing the blockchain significantly faster (meaning a new user can download the new blockchain and get up and running faster) and will slightly increase speed of block validation.. and might allow faster blocks in the long run.

Not sure what the ETA on that is though.. but I wonder if it's worth waiting.  In general though, this is a great idea.  Happy to help a little bit there.

[ANN] Burst Info for Android BETA [/ANN]

Hi guys,

I'd like to show you Burst Info app for Android (>=2.3). There is still a lot of work to do, but you can try base functionality, report errors and suggest me some improvements or features.

Nice!!

Couldn't agree more on both points Smiley

good restyling in OP.

yeah. OP looks great !

Thanks are due to Wulfcastle! Among the other members of the core PR team. Aside from me, who did basically absolutely nothing. lol.

Lol, without your Windows guide, many people like me could not mining here ! Your guide its visited every time Smiley

Nice, I'm glad to be of assistance. What I meant though, is that I had nothing to do with the new OP. I have done some other work though, and will continue to do so, right now I'm most focused on getting my new pool code up asap... I seem to be hitting the limits of the current Uray code for my pool.

does anyone else have problems with the uray burst-miner stopping after a few hours??

so the only window miners I can find is the broken Java miner that keeps using more memory until your PC crashes and the uray burst-miner that stops after a few hours.

has anyone gotten mining to work on windows without problems?? which miner are you using

I run uray's miner for days without issues. Granted it has experienced an occasional stop here and there.
People are using Blago's miner as well and seem to be having good results

in solo mode, there is a problem when you use special characters in the password.
Fixed

miner-burst 1.141229    https://www.dropbox.com/s/6vspqp7jsk4cy4h/miner-burst-1.141229.zip
(the maximum number of accounts = 100)

@crazyearner   what is your maximum plot size?  better use max 100-200 Gb

I think pilotseye has the most experience with getting win mining to work smoothly on a relatively large setup.

sometimes Urays runs for a day or two, sometimes just a few hours.. I dont know whats wrong with it.

I will try Blago's miner now, I didnt know there was a third option. thx

According to others win7 has some memory management issues when running burst mining. Win8 is reported as ok. IDK if that helps you in any way

Today i finished the sections named "Installing Burst Wallet" and "Creating Plots", still remains to do the Mining and Tips section in the Burst Documentation for GNU/Linux, in Spanish. I will need help translating it later to English, because the old docs aren't up to date.

Here is the link:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/13SBaYu2HTH2SJg09wM-c8lqOmUqW9wxam3DbHYwE01w/edit?usp=sharing

For the translation, would you like to join the PR team so we can work things out together? PM me if you want and I invite you!

Great work, btw Smiley

I send you a PM! Thanks to all Smiley

****A question the community: Anyone used and willing to make our Twitter-account active and attractive...? We have just started it and Wulfcastle is working on some nice graphics for it. I think we have about 100 followers so far but haven't really posted anything more than news are upcoming.

Anyone interested in it can contact anyone in the PR team, except Nevril, with a short reference of your experience with Twitter Smiley

Btw: our account is https://twitter.com/real_BURSTCOIN - follow us and retweet as best you can to support us, especially important news  Cheesy

@real_BURSTCOIN You mean "crypto" and "currency". The so-called "PR team" should go back to school before showing so many typos in public.

Why don't you help us out, dear m3ta, instead of just being destructive? You are very welcome to join! Smiley
