Looks like BTER.com is the exchange with the most volume atm, and at a higher price than cryptopia. I've been trying to create a new account on bter but the registration page keeps saying that new account creation has been disabled due to high load. It's been like this for 3 weeks now! I've tried contacting them through phone and email but getting no response.

The Bytom Team Takes Home the Second Prize in the 2nd Cosmos Hackathon
Guo Guanghua and Xu Liucheng, two developers of the Bytom team won the second prize of Cosmos Hackathon competition on Sept 15 with a reward of 10,000 dollars, which represents the best achievement a Chinese team has gained in the competition.
Cosmos aims to build a network of interoperable ledgers to host multi-assets and blockchains.
The competition brought together some big figures of Tendermint in the judges’ seats: CEO Jae Kwon, Co-founder Ethan Bushman and CSO Jim Yang.
The Bytom team put forward a technical model Chainmint that is based on Tendermint consensus and combined with UTXO and CVM system, which serves as a cross-chain Cosmos Zone. In short:
Chainmint = UTXO + CVM + Tendermint

The idea of Chainmint stood out from over 100 competitors and was highly-appreciated by judges.
“It’s amazing that they are trying to solve real-life problems.”
Though still in its infant stage, the blockchain technology has been gaining momentum to disrupt the world. A growing number of companies are looking for blockchain-based solutions to rebuild trust and solve industry bottlenecks. It's predictable that blockchain is well on track to change the world for better.

1.[dev] Add the instance of spendAction and the module — -accessToken, providing access control towards clients.
2.[dev] Support add, remove and update functionality of account tags.
3.[opt] Add mining algorithm and test window mechanism.
Solve the problem of costing too much time for creating random numbers when algorithm is running.
4.[dev] Mempool, blockgenerator and validateblock have been debugged successfullyand the test for creating main blocks has been accomplished.
5.[dev] Expand the function of hsm, providing the function of importing, exporting and seed key regain.
6.[res] Accoplish the principle analysis of lightening network tunnels open and solve the problem of exchanging secrets during updating tunnels, which can be shared within the team.

I think, Bytom has great future.
IMO, all "dances and dust" around ICO, cryptocurrencies and exchanges in China are closely related to approaching China's Communist Party Congress. It will take place on the 18-th of October 2017. So, some zealous officials decided to curry a favor and report on a successful fight against money laundering.
That means, nothin will change before above date. So we can purchase Bytom gradually and accumulate for future growth.
