Added MAC wallet link to OP. Thanks @instacash please contact @snard as he's the one with the bounty. Also, there's a small update that will fix issues with stake. The issue namely, rounding off stake reward to nearest "cent", thus resulting in some 0 stake rewards. Now rewards for stake won't be rounded. But the update will be compulsory. Everyone who won't have the new version by 23rd Feb won't be able to connect to the network. I'll push the update later on to the github and ask for windows and mac wallets to be recompiled asap please Wink

I'll recompile the Mac wallet with the update once it's available and get back to you. Keep it going!

edit: updated

Thank you vertoe.

>Each nfactor decreases the hashrate. Next nfactor in 5 days.

And with lower hasrate the earings become lower? Or will this be compensated by another factor?

Can i mine with the same GPU-settings i use for regular scypt-based coins, or do i have to test another settings for my R9 280x?

With lower network hashrate, come lower difficulty and increase in reward per block

you can use your scrypt GPU-settings, works like a charm Wink

Yo whats the typical hasrate of cachecoin compared to the regular scrypt-altcoins?
Currently around -25%. Each nfactor decreases the hashrate. Next nfactor in 5 days.

Whats the typical performace of this coin? How much BTC do you hash with 1Mh/s per day?
1 MH/s Turnout: 7.237 CACH/day = 0.03328 BTC/day at current difficulty and exchange rates.

CACHeCoin Mac OS X wallet has been successfully built (needed some fiddling with scrypt-jane) and sent to kalgecin.

Should be up once he confirms.

Well done! Would you like to share your improvements on the scrypt-jane issues?

Hi simonhard, sure thing, let me elaborate on the fix.

1. First one needs to expand the macros, use https://github.com/iongchun/cpuminer/blob/cpumine/nomacro.pl to do this:

Code:
sudo perl nomacro.pl scrypt-x86_64.S

2. Copy over this asm updated scrypt-jane folder and replace the one included in the src: https://github.com/microcoinsource/microcoin/tree/master/src/scrypt-jane

3. add -no-integrated-as to the macx qmake cflags in the qmake project file.

Code:
macx:QMAKE_CFLAGS_THREAD += -pthread -no-integrated-as

Took me a while to figure it out.

If somebody would like to donate a CACH or two (thanks a lot!): CL7yVncxofHUwY97HpJ4PYT2GHczzwyjvP

Thanks! Smiley I give it a try. I found out #3 too but the macro issues.. oh man, I went nuts!

My CGminer shows that I am hashing at a rate of 335.6 MH/s.  With Vertminer i'm at about 180kH/s.  Something doesn't seem right.  Does the cgminer properly report hash rate?

vertcoin doesn't use scrypt-jane at all. You will get about 75% of what you were getting with regular scrypt with a scrypt-jane coin. So ultracoin will give you the same hashrate as cachecoin. Also, vertcoin usually gives you 50%/ I don't understand wtf a pool needs two freaking days for over 500 confirmations. Why is this? Stupid as hell considering the pool could just close and steal a fortune in coins.

It does not matter here if scrypt jane or not scrypt jane - what matters is that all 3 coins use an adaptive Nfactor that will increase the difficulty for any miner thus rendering to lower hashrate for gpus and making if even harder for asics to mine.

Again this morning I can only say, iif you have more than 200kh/s - please move to a p2pool node - the payouts will be the same after 24hours since it is based on PPLNS

Right now concentrating the hashrate only on one pool is dangerous for the coin

PLEASE DISTRIBUTE YOUR HASHRATE
Information on p2pools can be found in this post:

Like @mr.pj said, Please try to join slower p2pools if you have hashing power > 200mhps. Slower pools does not mean you'll get less payout, it will generate you the same payout no matter the p2pool node you use, and moving between nodes wouldn't affect your payout either. It just helps distribute the hashrate evenly

About p2pool, the whole p2pool nodes act as one pool but in order to commence an "attack" it has to be from one node alone since no one can't control the others. The hashrate can still be seen as individual pools althought they are connected at solving blocks. So there should be no problem with the individual nodes going to big Smiley
Short: Solving blocks as a team, fighting solo

But vertoe is right, if your hashrate is low better join one of the smaller p2pools, like i said they all solve the blocks together so your payout speed won't go down but the overall pool diff is lower so more shares will get accepted and your payout will be more steady Smiley

And hooray CACH! Grin
