tried to solo mine and i kept getting the error json_rpc_call failed. I was using guiminers cudaminer.

I had the allow ip setting to accept my network connections. It was fully synced and I got another coin to work but not this one. I'm using the latest wallet I believe ver 1.2. I'm using win7 ult also. Any ideas?

^No, Craftcoin is currently only usable on PC based servers since it uses plugins.

So far I only know of one server(Blindfoldeds) that is using it. That is the other side of this coin we need to address. Getting it's use in the MC server  community used more.

Will CraftCoin be available in MineCraft for the XBone and PS4?

I submitted a ticket to Cryptsy a day ago and sent some CRC last night and it posted this morning.

Looks like they're on the same chain as us now.

Ok, I created an account and uploaded the zip of it.

Seems to be working on two of my PC's. Just waiting for it to DL the block so I can try mining solo.
I'm only getting one Network connection currently Sad

Craft Coin V1.2 Windows EXE

Seems like I have to add nodes in a .conf file for my wallet. Since upon the start it writes me "Out of sync" and seemingly has no intention to start syncronizing.
Am I the only one with such a trouble?
To be honest I had the same issue with BBQ wallet and adding nodes there didn't help to start sync. May be I have troubles with my network.

Edit:
Adding nodes from the December posts solved the problem partially. It started to syncronize. But if I got it right I can not be sure the syncronizing is correct due to recent events with several block chains.
After syncronizing the wallet it is still out of sync, which is notsurprising. Any information on the nodes with correct block chain up to time?

Ok. The wallet is syncronized. At least that is what it shows. Keep up the good work and thanks! To whom donate for a new wallet? Smiley

Saying that blindmice decided against the release is supposition and goes against the notice on the official source of:

"Mandatory update to v1.2.0.0 required before Jan 31st, 2014 @ 00:00:00 UTC"

Agreed.  It is just weird.  Of all the times, a hard fork is the worst time to not be available/checking forums.

The readme was modified by The_Catman, rather than Blindfolded, though granted under instructions.

Ok, A huge thank you to TRANZ the current Dev of Hobonickels.

He made a Windows exe for CRC. I'm testing it on my machine now. Where I can host the file? Otherwise I can put it on my site but it'll be clunky.

Smiley

mega.co.nz?

I have an account if you would like me to put it up.

Although it bothers me that they have not released the windows binary that does not invalidate it as an official release. Neither does having the old version on the official website or posting on a forum. I suppose the situation is good in terms of determining what qualifies as an official release. Mandatory and required are some strong words Smiley

I spent a few hours trying to compile the windows binary but the make file is broken. I may look at it again now that I have confirmed that the unix make file is valid but no promises as my time is limited.

I created an issue on github.

Looks like The_Catman made the changes requested by Blindmice and then nothing happened.

That suggests that Blindmice decided against the release.  That is why there was no advertising.

I've got a few hundred CRC on cryptsy as well.

Should we bite the bullet and submit a ticket telling them about the fork? It's only going to get worse the longer we hold off.

I'd rather have them put it on hold for a little bit while we get it sorted then have them get totally pissed about a huge ledger issue they have to go through to correct.

Probably a good idea.

At minimum, they need to re-submit all transactions into their system again.

Looks like most people are starting to use the new version from GitHub but since Cryptsy is still on the old version it is hard to say what will happen.

I can't see how the majority of actual users would be using the new version.  There is no windows executable.

I think miners have updated.

I have the majority of my CRC on Cryptsy and am afraid to do anything with it Smiley

...if I sell or buy who known what will happen to it as it is on the old blockchain.

There is a risk that they could be burned.  If they lose money because they weren't notified, then the coin would likely be delisted.

That would make the coin less valuable.

I believe it is the devs responsibility to notify as many people as possible of an impending change/version so that this sort of situation is avoided.

Right.  I doubt Crypysy would accept notification from anyone else anyway.

Wondering if this sort of thing has happened before where the official source is updated with a note that it is a mandatory update before a certain date but no attempt is made to communicate that update outside of GitHub.

I believe it is the devs responsibility to notify as many people as possible of an impending change/version so that this sort of situation is avoided.

The Cryptsy situation is a mess...interested to see how that is resolved...and also why they have not addressed it yet.

Just jumped in today to mine CRC. (http://crc.minar.cc)
Did I get it right that there is still no windows version of a wallet since the fork occured? Looked for it everywhere. Hope soon it will be available.
Is it worth at all to start with the coin now? Or noone is sure what will become with it in the nearest future?

It is strange what happened.  The dev has updated the software on github, but hasn't announced it.

He might have just been testing out new rules and didn't intend anyone to actually update yet.
