Whats interesting is that the GitHub codebase for Craftcoin originally had block 35000 set to be the changeover time and then was reduced to 32000 13 days ago Embarrassed

It specifies a "Mandatory update to v1.2.0.0" but there are no announcements made anywhere about this outside of GitHub?! I only happened to notice that people started posting about the new 1.2 version in this thread and voiced my concern then.

A (non-emergency) change in protocol rules needs more notice and a longer lead-in.

A minimum, there needed to be spamming of all threads associated with craftcoin.

If the new client was compatible with the old client for a month or 2, then most people would have notice.

No, that is not how it works with a hard fork. There are 2 incompatible chains, hashing power doesn't mean miners can change the rules.

The site doesn't even have 1.2.0, so it could be argued that it isn't really a release anyway. What version is the server running?

Please delete your craftcoin data folder (p2pool/data/craftcoin) before using these new specs.

Details:
5 minute blocks to 1 minute blocks
10 coins per block to 2 coins per block
Changed SHARE_PERIOD to allow for more shares.
Reduced CHAIN_LENGTH to equal REAL_CHAIN_LENGTH.
SPREAD changed according to the new block time.
IDENTIFIER/PREFIX changed to only connect pools with the new spec.

The wallet may appear to be stalled when a new block is not found for an extended amount of time. This happens often with Craftcoin. There does not appear to be any type of fork of the blockchain at this point.

....but:
Since the official web site does not have a compiled version of the new wallet and most wont bother/don't know how to compile their own version there is a danger of creating two separate blockchains. At least that is how I understand it

Out of the 63 peers I have almost all of them are on "Crafty:1.1.1.2" (version 1.1.4 available on craftcoin.net).
Only two appear to have updated to "Crafty:1.2.0" (new one on github...I think).

This is not looking good.....

I will have to update the p2pool code to accommodate the new coin specs.....but a greater concern is that I have been monitoring this thread and only recently see people mentioning a new client version (1.2).

Looking over the coin code the new specs appear to have been created a while ago with an original due date of January 5th, 2014 but nothing here announcing this?

....also the web site (craftcoin.net) has version 1.1.4 as the latest?!

Well, the coin did jump up over 1000% in december so a 70% fall isn't actually that much.

It seems like the only MC server is gone now too. Too bad. I was having fun on there. Spent a few hundred crc on it too.

There is only little hash rate on my crc.prominer.org p2pool, if you guys want I can turn it into a pplns + vardiff + stratum pool, similar to my netcoin pplns pool at prominer.org. I did it previously & it seems like a few people were interested, although for some reason I couldn't get a better hash rate.
