Has this coin always been marketed as "almost impossible to trace" , to me im not sure if its worth it, there are many "almost" solutions, I can swap coins with a friend if I wanted "almost" , I thought the whole thing with this coin was that it was going to be anonymous, "almost anonymous" doesn't sound as catchy.

Bitcoin is also almost anonymous.

Bitcoin is not even close to being anonymous.

"almost" is an elastic term. You can actually achiev quiet some anonymity with bitcoin itself.

That's true, anonymity is very elastic term.

Bitcoin becomes almost completely transparent (non-anonymous) if you have enough "resources" (computer power, subpoenas etc.).

Then transactions can be traced easily because you don't trace just flow of bitcoins, you can also access emails, server logs, you can plant malicious javascript code in websites etc. So if you have enough resources, you don't only "attack" blockchain, you can also at the same time "attack" other sources where the identity of people could become evident. This makes blockchain analysis easier.

However, there MAY exists some solutions that offer "perfectly anonymous transactions" (I made up this term, it is not something that is recognized by scientists) that would kind of prevent blockchain analysis - they would maybe be something akin to "perfect secrecy" in cryptography (Shannon). In such system attacker couldn't use blockchain for identification of people. But bitcoin cleary doesn't fit in this category.

I don't think that any of technologies that are currently developed by altcoin devs will provide anything that will prevent blockchain anaylsis (zero-knowledge-proof coins could become close to this, haven't studied them enough, but they seem to use the tool that might be right for the kind of job).

yes, I'm an amateur. this was my first coin ...I had been doing my research, including reading posts and had yet to witness melodrama like this. what I see going on is seriously detrimental to the cryptocurrency world in general. is it just me or has trading volume froze and dropped in the last couple of days throughout the currencies? has this conversation really rippled throughout the whole crypto-investment world? who is going to take any of this seriously anymore? these guys have taken a market with fantastic potential and its already precarious credibility. hopefully it will heal sooner than later. I wish I could find the post, but someone listed twitter accounts where this coin was strongly supported (kryptokoolio, moosanyc, and ninja trader). I did not know of their affiliation at the time but I hate to admit that it was those twitters that made me decide to buy into the coin. very hard lesson to learn. I am totally embarrassed for being a sucker!

Apparently you haven't done enough research. This is the world of alt coins, almost every coin is pumped and dumped to an extent. Only smart money wins, you don't have to be part of a pump and dump group to win, just basic trading knowledge is needed to maximize wins and minimize losses. You should not blame a coin for your inexperience in investing/trading. Go to the stock market and you'll probably have the same outcome, maybe worse.

This post has been reported. What more can I say?

+1. And rightly so.

I agree. Maybe MindFox should should also report the previous one (although I don't see it anymore).

Koolio is again seriously warning people in btc-e trollbox: "koolio: Stop talking of coins not on here!"

Doesn't this warning sound a little bit hypocritical?

I was stunned by the mud-throwing session I saw during last pages of posts. I can't talk on behalf of others, but I can talk for myself. I am not part of any group, nor I am anyone else besides myself (and my nickname of course).
But after reading last pages, I wondered... How low can people go.
I'm 42 years old and I thought I saw it all. I guess I didn't.

It is a pity that the word netiquette means nothing this era... The so called: Internet era.

Perhaps I live in the wrong time or I'm outdated. Who knows...

Why don't other team members (moosa, koolio etc.) respond to these posts? It seems that "community relations" is not your job because you were just hired for developing new features. I think that you should focus on development and leave communication with community to somebody else.

Lots of people lost a lot of money here and they are probably pissed off. Other team members are probably much more responsible for all this mess than you and so it is their responsibility to clean it.

With "team" I mean "coin team", not just "dev team".

I am responding to the posts that implied that I'm a scammer or that I'm a multi-nicknamed user. Also, thanks to all of you (and I really mean it) there is proof of the language is used by little kids just to irritate someone. The original post has been deleted, but thanks to you (with the post you quoted) I was able to see it and understand what exactly is happening in this smelly world of crypto.

For anyone's info, I was asked if I wanted to get paid before hand and I refused. I refused for 2 reasons:
1) I was going to implement something new and I didn't want to take any btcs before I deliver, that's what I felt was right and I did not have any trust issues with the person that hired me.
2) I did not know how much to value my work about this, I first wanted to see how well it does and how much more I would need to take it further in order to reach the "almost impossible to trace" level I wanted.

As I said, I can't talk on behalf of others and I can't talk about things I don't have any proofs about. I represent only myself.

You pussied out, because you don't have enough testosterone in your ball sack, you old fart. Tell us an ETA for that Commander. Stop scamming people and just deliver. Many people lost money, because you and some goofy kids scammed them. How about that ?

You didn't knew for which people you were working ? Those goofy little fucks with "ROFL" "cmon" "fucker" and other words in their dictionaries. Let me ask you again, where's the Commander. Why are you fooling people into thinking that you will still work on the project ? Are you a bagholder ? Tell me, lil' pussay. How many bags are you holding ?

He's not doing commander and has stated he dosent know anything about it multiple times
