Cheers,

Vote this the best article of the week, Peter Todd knows what he speaks about.
This has to be brought to real world users outside of bitcointalk as fast as possible before centralized payment scams schemes like ripple take a majority piece of the crypto pie and become entrenched.
(Btw, I had a small victory this week by getting a shop owner to take some Dash onto his laptop from my phone and pay for it-lol, hes probably the first shop owner in my city to have it(android wallet was a handy essential). Can tell hes into the markets a little and wants to play on the coin exchanges, so all of toknormal's and coins101 tips are going to be passed onto him drip by drip in due course as he gets his head round the idea but its early days yet, be great to see a 'we accept dash' sticker in his window)

Dash, with the aforementioned InstantX, has overcome the problem of slow transaction times, and is a worthy network to use in any retail environment. Fast, secure transactions... Why use anything else? Dash has it all. Dash 8, Bitcoin 1.

I think DASH needs to find a way to pay developers that isn't completely donation funded because as it is, the Dash/Darkcoin Foundation coffers are very small.

I still strongly believe that Dash is most promising project of cryptocurrecies.

Andreas Antonoupolos did this interview about a year ago and he covers distributed autonomous corporations.  It's really a great subject if you haven't thought about such things!

"The truth is out there...."
my sig and my avatar brings me on the point where I can`t decide which coin is # 1 Smiley
Funny that you are posting in here as well, being a bit negative towards a competitor again, and I am quoting you again it seems lol. I don’t like Dash as much as DarkCoin either, however the tech, team and the community certainly does make it stand out, and that is what counts after all. Smiley
Veritas I liked DRK more as well TBH it was "sharp" in name itself but we need more adoption and with new name I think it has more chances to go forward not even adding your further info which gives DASH the acceleration and future. Cheers.

btw. vote for coins101 - do I still have him on my ignore list?  Cool
I actually do agree with you now, I do think it is silly that the name Darkcoin which i love, became such a barrier to adoption. I said earlier that we should not bow to conservatism, however now i think that we should want the whole world to adopt Dash since it would make the world a better place, it would be petty for something so superficial as the branding to stand in the way of that. As long as this project continues to stand for the principles of economic freedom and privacy it will have my support.

following links to Dash block-explorers dont work anymore :

http://explorer.darkcoin.io
http://explorer.dashpay.io
http://explorer.darkcoin.qa/chain/Darkcoin

only working link :

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/

any chance on restoring the above not-working links ?

edit : just found out that ''http://explorer.dashninja.pl/address/YRMNPUBKEY'' can also be used to fetch info so i dont have a problem anymore
(i needed one of the block explorers to fetch transaction data for me and chainz.cryptoid.info gave me problems but with explorer.dashninja.pl
its all good now).

Yes, that's very true.  Maybe I'm wrong in saying the purpose of cryptocurrency is to divorce society from governmental/banker's control of money.  Actually, it could just as easily be used by a government or big banking to make a fully non-private open currency that gives them more control than ever before.  Luckily, it goes both ways Smiley

I think you're right. It's inevitable that governments are going to seek to regulate the crypto/fiat gateway. The solution to this problem is to close the loop, and use crypto in lieu of fiat. Obviously we are a long way from that, but I think that's what many enthusiasts are hoping for.

Even if that loop doesn't close, it's fine with me.  Just pay taxes on what is converted to fiat, minus what fiat went in (that should be allowed no?) and that's fair.  I mean, I feel I should pay for the services I use, public schcooling (even so it's still as dreadful as ever), roads, infrastructure, etc... I do like living in a civilized country.  But if there is a place to dive into- and not emerge because I don't want to support a rampant government that is a menace to the world, all the more power to the people!

Closing the loop will be difficult though. You need salaries to be paid in crypto. And suppliers to be paid in crypto. At present it's just end of the line retail that sells product then dumps for dollar.

The suppliers part I can see happening the salaries part will require growth in value.. very few people would take that sort of risk right now.
