As slick as the black & white logo is, I think it sends the wrong message. It says, "we're trying to look badass". To me, it's the style of logo better suited to companies targeting a youth market, like energy drinks or extreme sports or gaming peripherals. In the context we're competing in (finance), it makes us look unprofessional/young/inexperienced, or like we're overcompensating.

No-one can deny that these don't all look cool. But they're not suited to finance, where trust & reliability are super important.

+1
I think this is pretty right on.  One idea, If you wanted to incrementally make the slick black and white logo look a little more trusty and reliable... make the A a full A and not the arch.  Samsung and other young and cool companies are doing that, almost to the point of cliche.

something very wrong here?  http://drk.poolhash.org/

look at the last block found... this is for the entire P2Pool network. See my data above

That looks like it is only bad luck.

I tend to agree... Looks sad, but not necessarrily broken.

Look at your above post
Whats going on with the P2Pool network.  the entire network is hung on block 46219
http://explorer.darkcoin.io/block/00000000007e63430208031529ced1226cfeb3223060939267449ce3e655a05b

i have updated darkcoind, and git pulled p2pool and restarted everything but something still looks messed up.

the p2pool node wallet is on the correct block but the entire network seems hung ?

.darkcoin$ darkcoind getinfo
{
    "version" : 90102,
    "protocolversion" : 70002,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : 0.10251933,
    "blocks" : 46353,
    "timeoffset" : 0,
    "connections" : 19,
    "proxy" : "",
    "difficulty" : 305.64136197,

    "paytxfee" : 0.00000000,
    "mininput" : 0.00001000,
    "errors" : ""
}

That right there is showing current block count of 46353. As long as someone is not running a pool with the old windows wallet, then everything is fine. Just bad luck.
Look at the time between finding block 45829 and blcok 45953. 6.5 hours.

Guess will wait it out... the hash rate on the graph is falling like a rock right now..

Look at the long view. It's a crazy roller coaster. Also look at the bottom where it reports the correct block. (note this graph is 2 days old.)

Not sure about that:
Expected time to block (pool):   0h 58m 53s

Been over 5 hrs. and the last block it found was around the same point where everyone had issues.

The Buck Stops Here.
This might be a good time to remind people to port forward their port.
Darkcoin's is port 9999. Find your IP address for your computer like 192.168.0.5 and set port 9999 to forward to it. Also make a config file in your darkcoin folder titled darkcoin.conf and on the first line put maxconnections=150 or whatever maximum your comfortable with.

You'll know your golden when you get the green fourth bar in the bottom right hand corner, it'll be next to the green check mark.

I'm also stuck, maybe its possible that all the people im currently connected to are people also stuck and thats why im not receiving further blocks? so I guess if a lot of people is still not in 0.9.1.2 it will take a while for the blockchain to propagate for those who where stuck due to the bug in the previous version

Yep, most likely.  Once we get some more people synced it should be faster for everyone. Mine took about 10 minutes to find a node to sync with.

edit: about 10 minutes later it finally synced, so people who update and are stuck, just hang on, it will get through.

We've got a major problem, I have two wallets on two separate machines both stuck on block 46226.

v0.9.1.0-unk-beta
windows

Yeah, it's windows. I just pushed a fix, InternetApe is compiling. Should be up soon

Fixed, Download: http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/darkcoin-qt.exe  (It's the same version number, but it'll continue past that block)

Ok it's working ! (v0.9.1.2-unk-beta)

I just updated, after about 5 minutes mine has still not passed block 46226.  11 active connections.

Version is showing v0.9.1.2-unk-beta

Edit: NEVERMIND all synced up now!   Grin Grin

The Buck Stops Here.
Just made a guide on how to compile the wallet on a Linux system. Currently on block 46317 do not have above problem.
