We have a Datacoin information site in the pipeline and its around 80% complete. I have had good feedback on its progress from members of the community, as AtomSea said we need working instructions to include on the website, areas we are covering include:
- Help with setting up your wallet
- Mining Guides
If anyone thinks of something else we should have on the site, speak up and we will get it added. If anyone wants to contribute to the site or wants a look over it before it going live let me know, all contributions will be credited.

Where are you based? I had trouble syncing from the UK but my other systems (In the US) synced fine, first time.

Unzip it (drag file onto desktop usually does it, or click the unzip icon in the folder)
Run datacoin-qt
After the wallet boots up, you'll notice that it doesn't connect to any active connections.
To fix that, go to the 'Help' tab on the top, then 'Debug window'
The 'Console' tab comes up.
At the bottom of the Console tab you can enter commands to the wallet.
We are going to add nodes. I went through this thread and others and found nodes that may be active.
type the following:
addnode 107.170.165.126 add
then hit return.
I added all of the following using the above command format:
107.170.165.126
108.61.57.85
125.135.114.73
162.243.125.211
198.12.12.83
46.4.147.38
144.76.123.194
80.74.157.31
104.131.69.82
graymines.net:4777
My wallet is now connected to 11 nodes!
Not sure which ones above are active - just know that one or more gets the wallet working

I've never solo-mined before, I'd like to put some of my GPU prime-hashing power directly into Datacoin via solo-mining. I plan to still keep some in dtc.graymines.net - I just want to make sure we are load balancing as much as possible
Any help would be appreciated - and we can use the instructions we come up with for a new Datacoin help page

One can currently purchase and withdraw from Bter, but not deposit.
We are going to get all Datacoin information compiled in one location and make it a turn-key operation for a group of devs.
When that happens, we'll all campaign to have exchanges take Datacoin.
Immutable information is key for a free and open society - let's all do our part to make Datacoin a success.

Anyone any idea who owns this address, it does seem like they may be a solo miner, think it would be in thier best interest to join us to help bring more life into Datacoin and find a future for it.
