Miners will drop the price, so wait for buy coins, i personally don't like what they've done in zcash (equihash), it should have forked, but Decred is very solid at the price as well.

i don't understand, why miners should have to drop the price? Mine decred is too profitable ? So they can afford a drop of the price?
anyone else notice how close we are to a breakout?
these miners simply dump their rewards, thus putting upward pressure on the price.maybe this can be very profitable.

Dumps on the network creates downward pressure, not upward. A dump means more coins for sale, which in turn saturates and causes price to fall. Upward pressure is created when buy orders come in. In crypto, this is typically triggered externally by, e.g., news.

Haddad, a presidential candidate of Brazil registered his plan of government in the decred blockchain using www.originalmy.com

In the article on his site speaks only in blockchain, doesn’t quote decred, but just click on "foi registrado" and below on “Serviço” > “certificado” and will be led to the blockexplorer of Decred where it was made. https://www.obrasilfelizdenovo.com/haddad-blockchain-bitcoin-plano-governo/

Brazil are already in the second round and the dispute is between him and the ultra right-wing candidate Bolsonaro

Here are the infos about the registration of the government plan in the decred blockchain https://originalmy.com/bitregistro/088e82f064705bd7d33fe708c1084b43898d5739fe7a5ff6bff14a9c0a889853

This is overdue, my DCR are rotting in an Exodus wallet, so I have begun to sync the blockchain and start staking.

Some questions,

What is a good staking pool?

How much does one ticket earn on average in a month?

Is "per ticket" the most efficient way to calculate earnings?

Yes, stake them!

All your answers are here: https://dcrstats.com/

 Cool

I already saw it. Thanks!

Some people say that yearly returns for staking would be 25% to 40%. Is this still true at the price of almost 100 Decreds for a voting ticket today?

12-15% is more like it, and slowly decreasing as block/stake rewards decrease and ticket prices rise

No, the logic is:
  • 1.) asics come online and mine
  • 2.) miners dump their coin for costs/ROI
  • 3.) market price dumps

Though, this pattern doesn't apply as directly to Decred as it does to pure PoW coins that have transitioned to asics. Hybrid consensus models FTW.

Great announcement. The decred devs will speak at the TexasBitcoin conference this year. Maybe they will come up with some surprising new stuff. We will see whats coming next.

Decred is not based in the US, the devs are pretty decentralized, the last i checked there were 25 devs listed on the contributor page of decred website. it is a decentralized project like bitcoin which nobody can shut it down. Decred IS developing privacy feature in private so not many actually knows how it will be. But the standard of decred work is pretty high. till its ready to roll out we just gotta wait and see.

The founders are based in Texas, USA, but they welcome contributors from anywhere.

Dcr will get listed on binance for free. They don't need money and he said sometimes they charge 0 when the community is big enough. We don't need them whereas all the other projects do.

Actually I advise everyone to just buy the currency itself instead of a miner as the ROI is mostly worse when buying a miner :-)

Decred has a splendid team, I have never had any doubt about them.
It's true for now.
Investing money directly into favorite coins are much better than buying rigs and  mining to get coins.
Most of coins are un-profitable for miners ATM.
I really agree with what you say that investing money directly into your favorite coins is much better,
because if that was done for me it would be very profitable

In my 5 years in crypto I have only had real success mining one coin, PIRATE,  just the last month, every other time if I worked out my ROI after a decent hourly rate for my time it was a loss. Mining is only profitable if you have cheap electricity, own the hardware already, and enjoy the time spent as a recreation activity, otherwise in 99% of cases it's better to buy.
