can't remember if this was addressed or not but will a modified version of ccMiner compatible with the 14 round blake256 be available before launch or are all of us Nvidia guys just gonna get hosed?

SP_ ccminer already offer 14 rounds if I'm right Wink
You need to use -a blake since -a blakecoin is 8 rounds

sweet

I believe devs said that it needs to be modified to work with decred as they have a different "block header"?

True. Actual miners for 14 round blake algo won't work with decred. They will release a decred miner

#mitandopelomundo
quick few points that nobodys made...
lets say 4000 people got airdrop...many will dump, kl no probs
but what if 4000 got airdrop and added 1btc each for more decred, suddenly we have 4k btc buy support...
even if they buy 0.1 btc worth, 400btc is way more support on decred than almost every other alt on every exchange...
add some whale walls and traders that missed the airdrop and suddenly things start to look very different.
Decred devs have good rep already and im sure the btcdevs have plenty of long term btc holders that appreciate their work on btc.

That would be epic!

@anders lokka they have updated the OP.

vii. Erratum

1: Original date posted was January 18th, 2016. This date was adjusted to late January or early February, 2016, to balance development activity against the level of activity around the airdrop initiative

Updated the OP text with an erratum section to explain the change in the original projected mainnet launch date. Hopefully that helps avoid some confusion and brings it up to date. Any other changes to that text will be reflected in the erratum section - do not believe there can be many in reality, but it is there for objective clarity and transparency.

Because some people missed the airdrop, so complaining is a scam
That is just the normal behavior of peoples missing free coins here.

LMAO what is "normal" here would get most people shot in the real world
I can totally agree with you on this one. I never understood why people start yelling "SCAM" and spreading FUD for such a thing

This shows how naive you are.

I am NOT saying that complaining is a scam but you didn't find it odd that these Newbies were nowhere to be found DURING the airdrop registration and now that its closed we have a bunch of accounts with only 7 activity (which if I remember correctly is the first activity points you get after just one or two posts) screaming that they want in on the airdrop as well regardless of the fact that registration is closed........I have been here for far too long and have seen this type of crap before and my first instinct is that they are puppet accounts of someone trying to increase their DCR holdings, it is a popular tactic of whales and scammers (even though those two are one and the same if you ask me lol)

I admit SOME of them MIGHT be legit but my money is on most of them being alt accounts.

No offense intended here, but I think he may be agreeing with you   Roll Eyes

I believe he's trying to say that the people who were too lazy to sign up in time, or simple lurkers with no proof of online activity are crying foul because they procrastinated and are now left out. There IS a mining phase they can wait for if they're so upset. Or they can purchase if they truly believe the project has value.

Good point...........IF he was agreeing with me then I apologize for the whole "You're Naive" thing....

Not think they have the right to complain, much less say it's a scam, the dates have always been clear on the web and forum.

It is only necessary to read OP:

"Sign up for the airdrop is currently open, but the airdrop registration will commence on January 4th, 2016. People who have been selected to participate in the airdrop will receive an email that contains a link to a web registration form. This form will require airdrop participants to enter an address to which their coins can be sent. Binaries and source code will be made available so that you can generate a wallet seed and an address for your airdrop coins. Once you have entered your receiving address into the airdrop webform and submitted it, you will receive your coins on the projected launch date of January, 18th, 2016."

Still wondering why thread is reporting January 18.....Is delayed right? So,why they didn't changed thread?
