people mining @ http://digitalcoin.scryptmining.com let me know how things are looking when you get a sec.   Some share counts are off for recent blocks (though no shares were lost, they just get rolled into the next block).   I believe I've fixed up the inefficiency that was causing this.  (which was also causing some delays in site updates immediately after we found a new block).

Assuming no one is finding any major issues I'll be removing the beta tag from the pool sometime today.

Thanks everyone who's participated in the early testing!

Please check the pool hashrate.  Very low.  My 4 workers showing 400KH when it should be MH.

Thanks.

I also experienced a possible issue, pointed two miners to your pool (3 x 7970's) and I noted that even after 30 minutes the hashrate was still 40% off cgminer, I stopped after an hour(3 to 4 hours ago) and so far I've only received 1.77DGC - usually I earn between 15-30 coins an hour.

Took a look (I assume your username was whisper), here's what I found:

While you were mining we found a total of 3 blocks (not the greatest of luck during that period it would seem)

25058  (you had 187 shares of a total 23740 = 0.7% = ~0.15 DGC)
25171 (you had  165 shares of a total 3745 = 4.4% = ~0.88 DGC)
25347 ( you had 4851 shares of a total 131132 = 3.6% = ~0.73 DGC)

Those final numbers are also pretty much what I see in the ledger history for your user (this doesn't include fees).   I can't really speak to if there were problems with share submitting ect.  other than to say the rest of the pool shares would seem to indicate others were doing ok during the time.  I've only got share history to go by unfortunately.   The share submittal portion happens at a fairly low level directly with the stratum proxy, so doubt it was anything there.

Edit: there was a known issue that was causing a backlog of shares to be pushed to future blocks. They weren't lost, they just ended up being counted for different blocks then they were mined for.  I have since fixed this, and anyone still mining wouldn't notice because in the end all the shares get paid, but someone who was mining, but then stopped, may have been affected by this.  I don't thin it was many people, as there weren't a lot of miners, and the numbers have been steady, but give me your DGC address, I'll send you some coins to help make up the difference.

Thanks looking into it.  Looks like I'll need some new calc's with the new share movement.

I'd like p2pool, the coins flow is there, and constant. next.afraid.org:8119 works great. Long life to this currency...

I'm using this pool: next.afraid.org:8119 too. Great job everything is fine, and the coins are there.

I agree about this pool.

Sometimes fee is not as important as reliability, if the blocks are not there the efficiency is not there too...

Lets make some DGC, playing http://www.bitgrenade.net/?coin_display=6  Smiley Already earned 250 DGC  Cool

Yeah also hit a nice almost +400 thermite freeroll but now without 100% promo it's a loosing game.

Well i think it is still worth. For example RPG does not have 50% intersert (as mentioned on the page), it acctualy has more then 100% interest (I buy it for 39.05 and received 87.86 and that is 125% if I am correct)

Fenican - I've been mining on your pool for almost 2 days and I've noticed over this time that occasionally my payout starts to drop rather substantially, once to the stage I was getting nothing for over an hour. However a quick restart of my miners and within 5-10 minutes I'm back to 0.5-0.8 DGC per block. Is this expected behaviour? Looking at the graphs on your site I notice quite a large discrepancy in my hashrate, this is also apparent for other miners with very similar peaks and troughs.

This is normal on p2pool.  The pool maintains its own local block chain that miners are solving.  There is luck and variance involved but much less than for solo mining.  There will be periods where a particular miner is unlucky and not finding pool block solutions and also periods where a miner gets very lucky and finds many pool block solutions.

Payouts are PPLNS style in p2pool so what happens is you'll find a block say 2 hours ago and continue to get paid out on it for a time.

A key feature on p2pool is that immature shares are distributed immediately.  Hence, it seems more "instant" than push pools which wait for shares to mature before pushing them out.

Over time you should notice that your average payouts are right at expectation minus the pool fees.  Orphan rates at 20% or less are also not an issue when submitting shares to the pool.  The pool distributes payouts from the actual DGC blocks evenly to all miners so the only orphan rate that matters is the pool to DGC network.  Those statistics are available on the pool page.

@Bit_John
Please, can somebody explain to me how the transaction fee's are calculated for this coin?

got time to explain why small transactions from say a P2pool make the transaction costs of say 1000k coins so high? I mean I guess its only 1% but seems high when I pay it out. How does that work at what point must you pay the fee?

I will put the details on that tomorrow, you can probably see the pattern in the block explorer. It's designed to stop blocks which are too large(have too many transactions in them). Remember the recent wdc fork because of 300 blocks going missing? That can't happen here because the fees will force people to spread out transactions throughout many blocks. Basically, if you don't want to pay, wait a bit for when the network is more free.

Stratum P2Pool is on:

crypto-coins.de:8907

As usual for P2Pool, just Point your miners on the above adress using your Wallett Adress as Username and a random passwort

Example:

Code:
cgminer.exe --scrypt -u DHUqdchzCGUYKABsv3nLkVwJiL93YoNpP2 -p hsdrtu89dfgdhfg8 -o crypto-coins.de:8907

See stats at www.crypto-coins.de:8907

Pool Fee ist 1 %

Come on guys, help me push my pool above 50 MHashs again. I spend 1 extra DGC to every miner who is mining at the next found block after it hits 50 MHashs  Grin

We hit 50 MHashs.... Everybody who is in the next Payout round will recieve an extra DGC  Grin
