Well not always. You can make an altcoin with pretty pictures and an astounding white paper, but the code underneath isn't changed at all. True quality is only shown through time.

I do think the amount of attention paid to detail usually mirrors the quality of what's underneath.

Fast, stable, and you'll see how stable(and pretty) the client will be.

There are other fast alt coins.
I'm interested in seeing how stable the blockchain is regarding orphans, the software isn't important.
However, it is nice that you didn't just copy paste bitcoin-qt code and change it to support the coin. Graphical editing is really nice.

With this altcoin stuff, its only a matter of time until a good one hit.

The issue with that is new installs will all be trying to use the same nodes, overloading them and causing connection issues.

Separately, on the issue of TX and fees, it seems there's no other way to guard against vector attacks than a minimum fee. Also, no one(including me) wants to pay larger fees for larger transactions.

All you have to do to be a node is setup the client to run on a public IP.
