Bitcoin price spike once again

Here's my advice and I'll leave it at that:  DGC has backers and plenty of money.  Buy 4 TeraHash from Cointerra (or anyone else) and use those rigs to mine Bitcoin and as DGC keeps going lower due to higher Bitcoin prices, you will be able to Buy Back massive amounts of DGC and retire them (permanently) thus constantly adding real value to DGC which will then retain its value relative to Bitcoin.

Good luck guys!

I bought today 10K DGC, i believe DGC is next after BTC.

Bitcoin price spike once again proves which coins are inversely correlated and will be killed once Bitcoin blows past $250 and higher on ETF and other news.

LTC down nearly 50% in under 3 weeks, something I called back then.  DGC down 50% in just the last 2-3 days.

It's not enough to have a great name, coin and services if the economics of the coin and Eco-System dictates that your coin will get driven into non-existence by macro economics beyond your control.

@wheatrich, it's not possible to lose DGC because even in the hard fork, other chains were orphaned. You just need to update if you haven't.

@Hazard, thanks for the positive article and it's good that people will now know the difference between pre-mined/insta-mined coins and those which are fair.

@challen, version number doesn't mean it's not in beta. I just move up the version number depending on how large of a change it is. See the changes here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/dgc-digitalcoin-v1-release-mandatory-update-310111

I'm ridic snakebit with these coins.  Now the wallet I was sending the mining to automatically hasn't gone there for awhile--definitely sent but definitely haven't ended up where I sent them to.   (I checked, address was fine)  Kind of lucky I even noticed too.

sigh, maybe they'll turn up.  I'm just frustrated, this isn't the first time I've lost digcoins.  I'm just cursed with these Sad

edit--it was a bucketload of coins.  I quit when I started adding it up it got depressing.

Please update your client to the latest version. Your coins will come in after. There was a mandatory update about a week ago.

How can I make make wallet to store its data somewhere else then to C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Digitalcoin?

I think i saw a command line parameter for it once, but i do not remember it.

Hey guys, check out my article on digitalcoin Wink

http://cryptolife.net/digitalcoin-the-diamond-in-the-rough/

Nice article mate. Solid writeup with some good information. As mentioned by someone else you might want to add the adjusted block reward from 20 to 15.

I really believe dgc is primed to join the big league in the not too distant future.

Cheers.

I take a little issue with DGC being v1 now. As far as I know, bitcoin is still in beta and DGC is ready for the big time? Don't get me wrong, I don't hate DGC and it's been very healthy since launch (as the article points out), but v1 just seems like it's a big step. I'm not a programmer, but can you say in laymans terms what v1 brings either here or in the thread announcement for this?

Also, I'm interested in the Trezor for bitcoin. Will DGC offer something similar?
Higher version numbers are inherently better, don't you know. It's why firefox is on version 24 right now Cheesy

Suspected that local connection was banned - cleared peers.dat. Not helped. Any ideas?
Daemon is working properly...

I have trouble to run P2pool node for digitalcoin. It was fine working like month ago.
I have copied chain data from two gits (both have same chain and connection data)
https://github.com/mapleshadow/p2pool-altcoins-fy
https://github.com/hakabane/p2pool-altcoins
it is hanging on "p2p connection".
I`m using latest git for daemon and latest p2pool base for my p2pool fork https://github.com/Rav3nPL/p2pool-rav

Use the one in the op_
