if anyone has any more node's for RZ's list then please add them. We need quite a number more to help complete a small project weve been making.

Agreed. Time to switch pools then. Luckily, it has only been a few hours into the adjustment yet.

The correct difficulty is 1.96247829.  Any pool showing 0.98 did not update their DGC daemon. Pool operators please update your code with the correct source from the new repo: https://github.com/baritus/digitalcoin.  You can not just do a 'git pull' since the repo name changed.

If i am mining on a pool showing 0.9 does it mean i am on the other fork, so my mining is useless?

Yes switch to a correct pool such as dgc.d2.cc.

Maximum difficulty drop is now 50%. Previous difficulty was 3.92495658. Any pool showing less than 50% (1.96247829) is incorrect and any blocks being found will not be valid once the pool is updated.

I think the Scryptmining pool isn't correct, but transactions are still coming in, so it's a bit hard to say whether the difficulty display is actually what we should be looking for Smiley

Diff at 0.981 and multipool is already mining it right now.  So diff will go up and stay up, I assume?

It isn't 51% proof, of course. But there have been some suggestions on how to make it more resistant earlier in this thread. Right now DGC isn't interesting enough for anyone to attack it, so dealing with it is probably not the most urgent priority. As DGC becomes more financially interesting, which I think it will - a higher hashrate will be its best protection. This is another reason I wouldn't alienate the multipools, even if they only occasionally add to its hashrate. Right now the multipools are causing more harm then good though, so I trust in dev's updates to tackle most of the current issues.

Do you think that dgc has some kind of 51% proof ?
I ask that because I am a DGC holder! (and miner)

People at Btc-e are still laughing about digitalcoin. Let's see who's going to be laughing after all. I still think DGC will kick it off. Let them have fun with PPC for a while. They are already cut off from what's
going on in the alt market with the coins they have selected. Let's see: NVC= Russian Millionaire's Scam, FTC=  51% Attacker's dream , TRC= Sha's 51% Coin, NMC= merge mined .bit domains noone can find on google,  LTC= losing its grip lately. Lol.

The reason of this price not a high generation of coins. In the beginning the difficulty was stable, so we made 4 retarget cycle a day. It's only about 2 cycle now because too much time in "low tide". So the generation is half too.

In my opinion the largest problem is the pools. We need more and bigger pools(not a multipool). When the epools was closed, hashrate dropped day by day, and price followed.( epools closed 21st aug. )

Sorry for my English. Smiley

The current inflation rate is not sustainable, regardless of difficulty changes. At 80,000 coins a day, that's 360 BTC added monthly at a rate of only 0.00015 DGC/BTC. It would be about 720 BTC to sustain 0.00030 DGC/BTC. Well, it would be added if it was mined by holders, but the mining landscape is now all about profit taking. A large portion of that money is being sucked out of the DGC economy. For that reason, an inflation rate of 25% the market cap is not going to work, regardless of whatever the difficulty.

So sustainability before all other considerations. Is the current inflation/sell rate sustainable? No. Will a change harm miners? No. Their DGC profits are regularly dropping before their eyes right now and the current value is half what it was not long ago. If no action is taken, DGC will no longer be viable for them(as is the case for most already) and the trend needs to be reversed in one way or another.

Both the value and the generation rate determine mining profitability. If value is dropping rapidly, it is no different to miners than if the generation rate is dropping rapidly. If the drop can be stopped and value begins to rise, a trend reversal takes place and investors as well as miners improve their future outlook.

We don't need new pools but more miners, which as of right now feel a bit cheated due to the multipools raising the diff too high.
I'm still mining at http://dgc.scryptmining.com/ and am very happy with it. Now would be the time to support dgc hashrate.
Looking forward to block 476,280.
