Haha, too bad dgx would have been such a great coin to have in this ecosystem, any otger coins with similar idea, maybe dai?

DGD it's not dead Grin
And I think there is a difference between gold-backed token and stable coin. DGD and MKR can get benefits of each others.

He is talking about DGX, not DGD. When is DGX supposed to come out? If there are no recent updates anywhere and no word from developers, is this a scam project?

I know there is a difference between a token's value, and what's behind it, but.. I'm wondering who would wanna hold a supposedly backed-by-gold token, when the current price is around 4x the value of what it's backed by.

Sure, why not, afterall even the BTC isn't backed by anything, it's just value. But there is no point of "being backed by gold" as a concept, when only a fourth of your token is actually backed by gold. Might as well not be backed by anything, IMHO.

Where is the community and holders hiding then? Its sure enough not here nor at reddit. Buying DGD you would feel like the only holder Tongue. And me who thought that this was supposed to be a DAO, or did they never get that far and its still the digix company who run things? And all DGD holders have been fooled into thinking that this would ever be a DAO

I agree about DGX and Dai, and only from reading about the two coins i would rather have dgx as a stable coin. However Dai and mkr seems to have a community behind them so i would feel more comfortable investing with them (even though i dont like how the dai token functions,  i will stick with bitusd for now).

Digix is the first project. So many ETH ICO ivnestors not around same as DGD.
About the DAO think... There is a huge money from the ICO, do you think that will be available without community?

Where is the best place to follow updates on this project. Both reddit and bitcointalk seems dead. Where is the community?

There are references above to people trading DGX, but also references that DGX is not yet launched, which is it?

Devs owned 15% of the DGD supply initially, right?

Are devs well-known in the crypto community?

If the crowdsale was over more than a year ago, why are ppl still sending money to the crowdsale address?

We added DigixDAO to the Cheddur app (https://www.cheddur.com/)! This will allow new users to learn about DigixDAO and join the community. Cheddur allows you to link wallets, exchanges, and other services that support DGD so that new users can easily get started. You can also review the project and post your DGD addresses on your profile to receive tips / payments / donations in DGD from other users Smiley

Can others from the community please review the profile for quality and help us add supported services? The more active the DigixDAO profile is (via user reviews and addresses), the higher it ranks in search results and the more likely newcomers are to discover the DigixDAO project!

I wish this thread to be alive again. I couldn't find any other DGD thread here in bct. And yet this is a top 20 crypto world. Weird.

not at all. bitcointalk is not the center of crypto. far from it
