Also in swap over converting 20:1.00 why not see if community will be willing to support more by getting 20:0.99 with the residual going to bounties for road map or something

I would support a move like this as long it doesn't sound too unfair to anyone

@Everybody: we should define the options that we have to move forward. Please submit your ideas here and we will setup then a voting system and let everybody decide the future of EduCoin.

Some things that we have to discuss:

- Algorithm change?
- PoS/PoW
- Conversion of existing EduCoin to EduCoin 2.0 (Rate)
- Incentives to mining and getting network security (currently non-existent)

Cheers!

Gambel

Hi, I'm not a direct member of your community, however we seek to partner with you in the future.

Given that you are considering some changes, I'm suggesting that you consider POR - proof of research, to learn more about it visit Gridcoin.
Essentially instead of figuring out random problems, your computer will be working on real life scientific problems.  Win-win no more waste.

Hello There!

the nodes are working, but Europex needs to update the node information. I already sent them a message but no response.

Cheers!

Hey educoin, let's work together?

...  ethical coins unite ..., let's join forces for specific projects.

Do you have a specific project that relates to science and are looking for a support partner, if so call on Einsteinium we will do what we can to forward your project.

Support partners usually will pledge to retweet, provide comments, likes, small donations, and endorsements for specific events they choose to get involved with.

Einsteinium is a 'cause coin' we seek to provide funding for science endeavors, we are seeking project partners for small projects involving: educational science. science fairs, science instructors (teachers, professors, mentors, etc ...), or anything else that has a heavy science influence.

That's would be great! I love both and I'm early adopter from first block's.

Hey, good to hear from you.  Hope you see you involved with both communities too.

Working together with coins like Einsteinium sounds like something we could support.

Please make your proposals, and let's see what the community says and most importantly does.

A group of education-centric, or ethical coins, fits our values. We need to extend bitcoin technology beyond financial instruments.

The primary reason for my initial visit was to invite you or a representative of your coin to the cause coin unity thread I created; however I would be happy to present you with one of very many projects that Einsteinium is willing to lead, co-partner, or as a support partner.

Instead of going right to the larger projects like funding a solar panel project via crowdfunding for a school in need, let's do something with existing funds, and within the reach of our respective community's pocket.

Let's co-sponsor a youtube channel that focuses on science education.   At the start of every new video there is a 5 second message that say "this video is brought to you by Einsteinium and ECUcoin sponsoring science education "... with graphics that show our respective coin logos with some text info about cryptocurrency.

Simple, easy, very low budget not much to consider; it will provide some coin exposure, and allows us some 'get to know you' working experience.

Live like there is no tomorrow!
I created an additional node:

addnode=167.114.57.225

Aiming for a third until tomorrow and then a pool until Sunday.

Please sync all your wallets, so we can start with the mining again.

Cheers!

Gambel

I added that node and now I'm totally synch'ed.  Could you send me the details too? I'm not sure whether i'm going to use it much though, as I planned not to use this GPU for it. However, if I can help the network // the coin with it, I might do sometimes.

Solo mining works well too indeed.

I'm happy to announce that it's working properly again. I have a running pool but have to do some configurations (e-mail support, etc.) so it will take a while until it's public.

If you want to join the pool for private access, please contact me via PM. I would setup the account for you so you can start mining right away.

Happy Mining!

Cheers,

Gambel.

What do I do with this: addnode=188.165.194.96
??

Thanks in advance for providing instructions for the non-programmer(s).

Thanks guys. I finally figured it out. For anyone else having problems you need to create a text file and save it as educoin.conf in the educoin roaming folder with the contents from the link above pasted into it.

What's the plan to put this coin on the map?

This is my contribution for the day: http://austin.craigslist.org/zip/4668486789.html
