I Don't know why people are Mis propagating EMC2, I think EMC2 has a great feature with the developments they are making in the background. This coin has a great community where people have a strong will that EMC2 will be one of the most reputable coins.

Nice last attempt to get cheap coins before huge increase.

As people said there was unintentional error of 5k, caught in an early stage.
Bittrex is working with us on resolving the issue. They already got refund.

From what I read it was 5k total which was impacted, and this was not even an intentional attack. Not the end of the world, and they caught the issue early. So no reason to panic.

If you check the EMC2 slack out they are working on the issue and the max lost on bittrex is 5K . It also seems that the double spend is related to a buggy code. So hopefully they will be able to sort it out soon.

Emc2 foundation is on steady course to upgrade the code to LTC 0.13.3 which should take care of a lot of things.

The reason is known, even we are just 99% ready for release, I would encourage miners and exchanges to update their nodes to an emergency-prerelease disallowing pre-BIP34 double spends there are miners active right now using just this exploit.
