My feeling is that your post is a bit ironic?
There is not much news IMO, I only post ideas to revive EnergyCoin.
I get no support from big ENRG holders for instance to give EnergyCoin Foundation more striking power by a coin swap to Stakecoin for part of their property.
But I give not up and continue searching for opportunities and new ideas.

Congratulations on the new job and thankyou for all your work, I would exchange ENRG to STK out of interest certainly price wont determine my attention either way.   I should be able to update soon in order to do that.   I was doing SETI home blocks 22 years ago just for the fun of that, plenty were I just wish I'd held the same attention earlier in the origins of crypto when it first started and similarly it was 'nothing' much.
  I came to post an interesting link for someone criticizing proof of stake vs what they consider to be superior in proof of work.  I dont care if they have a personal positive view on POS or not just that it got views and posts from a variety of people; the more POS is openly discussed the better and obviously in time all things are tested anyway so personal views are not an absolute determiner vs actual usage.
   Crypto runs on hype but also attention from the wider public who wont know for sure the specifics on just how useful this protocol or the next might actually be when put into practice regularly.   Somewhere out there I want to see full proof of stake usage on the center stage with far more attention, its been under the radar too long; I think it will reflect well generally when that is true so I hope we are advancing towards greater discussion and knowledge not just the proof of work repetition.

A few weeks later....
I started with my new job at Spatial Eye and want to post here my thoughts about the future of EnergyCoin.
In 2017 I did quit my job to work on the future of EnergyCoin and I still believe there is a future for ENRG-ecosystem with tokens created @EnergyParty .
I mentioned before the EnergyParty platform is a very powerful platform, It was the reason I quit my job in 2017.
That there is no application yet is because the people who promised to help dit not want to build simple applications using the EP-token ecosystem.
Together with @emdje I proved that a simple procedure is possible to send tokens and that is easy to implement into a token reward system.

The 1Sat value of EnergyCoin is disappointing but to understand because no development is done for years now.

One of my ideas was to combine EnergyCoin with Stakecoin to balance the value.
Stakecoin has about 2.5M of coins in circulation and EnergyCoin 125M
My idea was to link them  50 ENRG for 1 STK is the natural ratio but I suggest 1: 20.
For Stakecoin it is easier to keep a value in Satoshi because there is not much in circulation, 1.1M is community-owned.
If a big share of ENRG is exchanged for Stakecoin the value of ENRG can go up.
For the Stakecoin exchange, the wallet needs some maintenance, and then 1 STK can be traded for 4000 Satoshi.

If people want to give ENRG a new life then exchange some ENRG for STK. The ENRG I donate to EnergyCoin Foundation.
There is 1M STK abalabe for 20M ENRG.

Thx for posting on the good old EnergyCoin topic SST.
I agree that the idea for the application is the most important key to success. I was full of idea's and I still am but to create ideas for reality is a very hard job and the efforts of many other people are needed and the reward is very uncentain.  If I'm able to invest say € 1M then some idea can become reality but I'm too afraid of losing a large amount of money. The building blocks for success are still available and that is EnergyParty and an application on basis of that platform can be the key to success for EnergyCoin.  The problem is I only invest in running the server and there are no paying customers at the moment.

I wouldn't worry as much about people selling and how it effects price, it would delay any rise but not prevent it really.   That would just be normal occurrence and results in greater distribution which will be a positive in the end, ultimately the price isnt the most important thing though it'd be nice to see higher.    Doge coin was 1 satoshi at some point I remember because almost all had sold into its excessive supply yet some silly idea with a cute dog picture is enough that it still circulates now and is used at much higher prices.  If an idea catches on across enough people it can quickly reverse how the market picture is looking like.
   I know quite a few who avoid crypto because of  its horrible energy efficiency and cost, the general public still have no idea more efficient means of processing securely are quite possible

On yearly basis, I have to spend 100 euros to maintain the web wallet service.
It was a great idea to clone counterparty and make NFT (tokens) possible on the EnergyCoin blockchain.
I had a business partner in The Netherlands that wanted to make use of this functionality but the team and investors did not want to go on with that project for the Solar Villages ecosystem.
The total investment was 100k euro but with interest and payback by the community.
It is still possible to start a project like that but real money is needed to build the application.
So I give up this idea if there is no support from the sleeping community.
EnergyCoin has now a value of 1 Satoshi and my expenses are 200k ENRG next year.
If I get 200k ENRG from the community in my first ENRG wallet where I got my first 125k ENRG: e2wwnbU8XBcnZxSfMTwZLS7Ru6LdWHunCu is on January 1st, 2022 the web wallet is no longer available if I have less than 100k received in my wallet or the equivalent in euro.

I have a thought I want to share.
Energy prices rise and climate solutions become more urgent than ever.
The ideal climate for Energycoin blockchain solutions I would think.

The problem is that ownership of EnergyCoin is very skewed.
I few people own a lot ENRG and probably will sell when the price is going up.

What is a new fork is created?
Say 100x more ENRG created on the blockchain than now available?
The extra ENRG goes into a secure EnergyCoin Foundation wallet.
Also, 1 or 2 BTC buy support on the exchange and EnergyCoin can make a new start.
We need an App connected to the smartmeter and reward energy-saving behaviour.
With a budget of € 150k is must be possible to implement.

The thing is, there are influential people in crypto. Powers that be could easily sponsor the development and incite commitment on part of the team if the coin was something worthy of existence. But we all agree in these shitty times shitty coins occur very often and massive amount of money they suck in for their development is in disagreement with common sense. 9 euro a month is a lot. Not the money that is reasonable to spend.

I think POS in general will get more attention from a widening audience in future, I just saw this article on Yahoo comparing the various competition in this protocol type.   ETH 2 is not as efficient as it should be apparently, figured it was relevant to post here:

Sad news:
Exchange CREX24 closes on 15 August 2021 the doors for Dutch people.
We hope to find an alternative exchange but there is no fund to pay the entrance fee.

This must be a misunderstanding.
It makes no sense to merge ENRG with Bitcoin (Pro).
