Just heard about EtherZero. I am holding ether on bittrex and bitstamp... Do you know if this exchanges has particpated in this hardfork? My wallets are still empty...  Roll Eyes

Bittrex and Bitstamp never gave support for the before the snapshot and they still haven't. probable you will never have your etz.

Thanks for your reply... Too bad.. Bitstamp normally not give support in hardfork, but on bittrex i have received already some new hardfork coins...

any news about market cap, and the possibility to see ETZ on CMC

There is no news for now.. sure etz will eventually fine it's way on cmc. it is a fact.
Eventually but it will take a lot of time for it to get listed and 20k for masternode is a bit expensive even if the price declined a bit and devs seldom visit the thread.

At pre-sale prices were 3300etz/eth so it was affordable. for now prices are high in yobit. you must be very ambitious to want to buy 20k from yobit for master node at that price. But, there is a probability for price to go down when exchanges open for deposit. so just sit tight and pray for this to happen.

Dev do need to visit thread once in a while but it not their job to be here always. it is the job of the support. which i think is being done

it's too expensive man 20K ETZ at current price on yobit will be around 40BTC that's freaking huge(atleast for me it is).

you both have same worries.. little advice; visit the telegram channel if you really want to buy etz you might see etz at good prices there..

I had absolutely no idea that they conducted a pre-sale for ETZ thanks for sharing it. I will hover around telegram to see if i can find a good deal or not.

Has anyone here successfully - and safely! - claimed their ETZ? Any advice if the steps in their MEW tutorial are safe to follow?

i have and i know a dozen others who have. the tutorial is safe besides it advice you to move eth to a different address before adding custom node.
what could be safer?

when can we deposit etz in yobit?

When or if? Angry

Yobit is listing ETZ already, surely they'll open deposits/withdraws eventually, as long as ETZ have wallet situation safe and complete

How do you aim to keep the transaction fee on a zero level? Is that even possible in the long run if more and more people would opt to use your chain?
Based on their white paper:
"Then, how to ensure the incentives of miners after elimination of fees?
Even if the handling fee is removed, the miners can still pack the blocks for currency
rewards.  The  bonus  for  the  coin  produced  by  the  miners  will  be  divided into  three
parts, retaining  45%  in  itself, 45%  in  the  main  node, and  10%  in  the  community budget."

Section 3.02 http://etherzero.org/ETZ%20Whitepaper%20v2.0.pdf

Which translated into: there will be a block reward forever? Like there is no definite amount of EtherZero in the very long run?

you'r correct just like all other leading fiat currencies don't have fixed total supply e.g dollar, euro, Yuan etc... they keep on producing more money under certain regulations and their values are still high. So to does etz no fix total supply, more coins mined under regulation of community.

you may ague that fiat currencies are losing their value but it has nothing to do with the fact the don't have a fixed supply.

You should be more thinking into the direction of Hayek money, which requires a constant determination of a healthy money supply. That implies not only the option to increase the supply, but also to decrease the supply when necessary (aka burning).

If there is no fixed supply where does the number 20k etz for a node comes from, i mean why its a fixed number not a function from an epoch or smth? One could just gain 51% nodes, given the extreme disproportion of coins distribution. There are wallets with millions of etz. I mean this coin could probably work in real world but this totally doesnt add faith in it. And if it doesnt gain faith, people not gonna buy it.

Yes my friend if one where to control 51%+ of masternodes, he will mean significant danger to the etz network but again it is just a bitter pill we have to live with just like in the bitcoin network. All we can do is put in place some rules which greatly reduces the probability of this happening. with the masternode collateral being of these measures in etz, it is not fixed. it changes under a function call autonomous community governance.  you can read the white paper more inside.

heads-up. masternode collateral was moved from 10k to 20k. Not fixed..
