Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
They dumped everyones XMR for USDT Dec 16th.

They also stole 31% of my XMR while I have been going back and forth with them the last few years.

Poloniex Enters Controversial IEO Space With Tron Only Platform

Projects seeking to conduct their offerings on Poloniex’s LaunchBase platform face the stipulation of issuing tokens in exchange for TRX, and will be considered on a “first-come, first-serve” basis.

It should make no difference really if your email or poloniex password has been leaked because you still need email verification link to withdraw funds.Or am I mistaken?

and 2FA too?

2FA is a “must”
Everyone should be double checked with a simple google authenticator or sms authenticator
Cause e-mail addresses can be hacked easily, we know it, but the laziness make people vulnerable

"Yes, someone leaked a list of email addresses and passwords on Twitter. If your account was on the list, you would have been the first to know, well before any media publication. We promptly sent emails out to all affected users, requiring them to change their password."

Therefore, we cannot confirm if the password listed with your email address is the password you use on Poloniex.

They can't try out the list themself?

Why would anyone post that stuff on Twitter when Polofux just allowed all tiers of users to withdraw up $xx,xxx a day?

Fishyyyyyyyyyyy!

I got a mail from Poloniex:

from: [email protected]

Hi Poloniex Customer,

A couple of hours ago we discovered that someone leaked a list of email addresses and passwords on Twitter, claiming the information could be used to log in to Poloniex accounts. While almost all of the email addresses listed do not belong to Poloniex accounts, we are forcing a password reset on any email addresses listed that do have an account with us, including yours.

We take the security of customer information very seriously and never store passwords or other sensitive information in plain text (for the technically inclined, we store a salted bcrypt hash). Therefore, we cannot confirm if the password listed with your email address is the password you use on Poloniex. As a security precaution, we have forced a reset of your Poloniex password and recommend changing your password on any other site where you may have reused login information.

For details on how to reset your Poloniex password, please visit our Help Center article here. We recommend selecting a unique, secure password and enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account if it is not currently enabled. Please find instructions on how to enable 2FA in this Help Center article.

Thank you for being a Poloniex customer and helping us to maintain the security of your account. If you have any questions, please reply to this email and we will be happy to walk you through any of these steps.

Anyone got that too?

~snip~

1) Is it legit?

Yes:

https://support.poloniex.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041171613

Is it HitBTC 2.0 or are they close to bankrupcy and want to make the last actions as profitable as possible?

Hmmm, I got excited after I saw their notification of the new non-KYC account tier, but seriously, something is starting to look fishy here.

Love is the answer
Last night I´ve received an email from Poloniex ([email protected]) stating

Hi there,

If you're receiving this message it is because you currently hold a balance in MAID on Poloniex.

DigiByte (DGB), Factom (FCT), MaidSafeCoin (MAID), Omni (OMNI), Primecoin (XPM), Vertcoin (VTC), Viacoin (VIA) will soon be delisted from Poloniex. Trading for these assets will be disabled on December 30, 2019 at 17:00 UTC. Please finalize all trades in these assets prior to December 30th. Once delisted, you will have 30 days to withdraw any remaining balance in these assets.

Here are some important dates to keep in mind:
December 30th at 17:00 UTC: Trading of DGB, FCT, MAID, OMNI, XPM, VTC, and VIA will be disabled.
January 30th at 17:00 UTC: Withdrawals of these assets will be permanently disabled.

Be sure to withdraw your assets before January 30th. To withdraw your assets, visit your Poloniex wallet and provide an address for the relevant currency. You must have a balance greater than the minimum network fee of that asset to withdraw.

We will send you multiple reminders between now and January 30th. For more information about our delisting policy, please visit our help center article. We greatly appreciate your support.

Team Poloniex

1) Is it legit?

2) If so: Are they crazy to ask for 80 (!) MAID (=6,24$) withdrawal fees?

Is it HitBTC 2.0 or are they close to bankrupcy and want to make the last actions as profitable as possible?

It's really really really sketchy.

Just take the money and run if you can.

Something is badly wrong and has been for a long time.  Run like hell!

Anyone saw the comment of Digibyte about Poloniex and Poloniex retaliated and they (Poloniex) allegedly will remove or delist Digibyte. I havent opened my Poloniex account in while but this trade of word is not going to do good for te side of Poloniex. Its like Poloniex is being run buy a bunch of teenagers.

Poloniex has finally updated their State License page:

They did this several months after they actually lost their license(s).

I strongly suggest people file complaints against Circle as well.  Your complaint will hit the scammers harder by filing against Circle rather than exclusively Poloniex.
