I'm happy most want it destroyed, even if it mean losing a lot (I know Unamis have a lot to lose, still understanding what is better for the coins).

But I still think there is a reasonnable chance we get the coins back to the right owners. I've been discussing with both part involved (including some private message with Ryan on twitter). I'm trying to get back both the coins and an DB snapshot. I don't believe it will work out, but hey, maybe Ryan will finally do something good.

Even if its a (likely) fail, imo there is a good chance Ferdous get V2 access back, and for what i know, I trust him.

Don't get your hope too high still.

So yeah, I have to agree with everyone. For fairness, the coins must be destroyed...

There is a developer for NEXUS claiming to be a co-developer of fluttercoin. Turned out to be a scam. Is there any truth to his affiliation with you guys?

There are only 3 developers on TeamFLT: Ofeefee, myself and Jarrid.  It is conceivable that he/she may have been involved with the original devs before TeamFLT took over the coin but it is highly unlikely.

So no, no affiliation at all.

G'morning all.

I've been in touch with some persons in the Minptal drama. I can't say that much about it - but I do my best to keep an eye on fluttercoin wallet and the options to get it back. It's a tricky spot - because even if we get the wallet back (45M flt), there is no known way to send back the coins on a fair manner.

So I would like to know what any of you would do if we manage to get the wallet back. How to handle it ?

Thanks

If they can give us the wallet, then they would probably be able to give us the database of people who deposited FLT. If they can provide us with such, then it would be great, all coins would return to its original owner. If not... then the coins would have to be distributed in an equal and fair way.

Let's hope they can process the withdrawals themselves, anyway Smiley
Not so simple : people who had deposit flt may have traded and some mintpal users may not have made any flt deposit but may have bought some in mintpal ...
You need the trade transactions too ...

Agreed.

If they were running a proper exchange in the backside (and Im not saying that they were), there should be a ledger in a database somewhere recording deposits, trades and withdrawals, over and above the actual wallet itself.  With the ledger database and the wallet, everyone could get what they are due properly in very short order.

But you would definitely need both.

DB is not bin Ferdous hands. It's in Ryan-Shitface hands. So there is actually now way to know who the send flts.

I think Ferdous want to do good. I may be wrong but for now I will support his attempt if possible. I'll support Syscoin legal case too.

I don't even want to get the wallet back at the moment - better have Mintpal's guys on the bad seat than us. No way to ''resdistribute'' the coin fairly, unless someone can use some magic trick i can't figure out Sad. Feel free to share any idea.

I would prefer having those coins destroyed (even if I loose 1600000 doing so) instead of risking to be unfair with anyone.

If they can't provide people's balances, then destroying it might be better than letting them dump it on the open market. JMHO
Ideally it would be great if people get their FLTs back. Then again I am stating the obvious.

I follow your opinion too.

I think whatever happens with mintpal's coins, it won't change Fluttercoin for the worse Smiley

I would agree, we will still be working as we are now.  Only thing would be if they are destroyed then we have less coins but I don't see how that would happen.  I expect it will be made right at some point in the future.  But how long that will be...

Well difficult to predict what will happen to those coins in hostage. Too many possibility.

Best case, we all get our flt back.

Second best, some can get flt back, and the remaining have to be destroyed OR some other option (i would strongly suggest to be given to a fully monitored and community driven developement fund). Would help flt reach much more manpower, and would transform this mess in something good.

Third best, coins are fully destroyed. So the total supply drop by about 22%, but its a very bad scenario. So many people loosing money and faith.

Very bad scenario, the coin get dumped on a regular basis by the criminal having the wallet.

And the worst of all, the wallet disapear, but the coins still in the blockchain, so we never know when the axe will hit.

It's my opinion, and i guess others have different view.

Hey FLT team,

I got a question for you (sorry if it was already asked before, but I don't think, or maybe I didn't see) : Do you have a final/main goal for FLT ? Like a long term project. Or maybe some ideas ?

I really like this currency, and I would like to see where it could go in the long term, as after all, I'm here for a long time  Smiley

Thanks  !

Our goal is make this coin better, with new features and specifications. We have been brainstorming all this time, and we have some ideas... If you'd like to contribute, you can join the Skype chat Smiley

Ok, I should indeed, but I'm only here 2 days a week, I will have some problems to follow everything  Cheesy I'll try to join the group next monday.

Has anyone managed to withdraw his Flutters from Mintpal?

Thx

Highly unlikely.

...

Does the team acknowledge any potentially missing transactions / payouts from the old fluttercoinpool.com before the change over to http://flt.icarusglider.com/ ?

For what its worth: in chatting with IcarusGlider and Imbecileee, before I set up the temporary pool, they assured me that all payouts had been processed from the old fluttercoinpool.com.  However IcarusGlider migrated to new server hardware so I suppose something might have been missed although I doubt it. Mica (IcarusGlider) is usually very thorough.  If you have something missing, I suggest you send him a PM and Im sure he will help you out right away.

are these correct for the fluttercoinpool at flt.icarusglider.com?  For Scrypt?

Yes, that's what's needed to connect...

mine doesn't connect using that configuration.  says all pools are down

That's odd... let's see what Mica can say about that.
