IMPORTANT COMMUNICATION

Hi everyone,

Today is a good day for Fluttercoin community !

After reaching (and getting) a massive community approval, I finally got Mintpal fluttercoin wallet back (not in my own hands).  Was a long process, spent a lot of time on it.  I worked it out with Ferdous - and I would like to let everyone know that Ferdous is working real hard to get poeple's money back, and any help would be appreciated (please donate here http://www.mintpaljustice.com/).

So a trusted TeamFLT member in control of the wallet balance.  We are now moving all those coins to a secure address F6M4kUPkedBafXNdTdjR4ercNYvbMqZbFJ  Reason is we are not sure if Ryan Kennedy have or not private keys, so we want to move the coins to avoid further criminal action from him.  There is 30 000 block so it is a long process, and he can try some bad action in the process. We have user adresses and balance, so we can soon start sending coins back.  For security purpose, a limited group of persons will handle it all.

We will send each user an email explaining the situation and asking for a valid Fluttercoin address.  We will send coins back as soon as we receive your email responses.  Even those within us will have to send an email to avoid any unfair practice, and to allow us to keep track of everything.  All this affair is in legal hands, so we want to be able to cooperate if needed.

The bad part is there is a negative balance of 6 781 757 FLTs (Hot wallet balance : 59 118 051, users balance 65 899 808).  So probably more people then we supposed got able to cashout in V2 - or maybe other unknown reason, but either way, we have a lost here.  Some of you guys already advised us of being able to withdraw coins :

...And I also have been able to withdraw from V2. (70,000 FLT)

... and I've been able to withdraw from v2  Wink (110 000 FLT) if you want to count exactly what's missing

I tried to withdraw it, some transactions made it through (706094,7 FLT)

Thank you for your fairness, so we will deduct those coins from the negative balance.  In the email we will send out, we will ask everyone to be that fair.  Let's show how fair people can be.  So for now, 6 781 757 flts - 886 095 flts = 5 895 662 missing FLTs, or 8.95%.

We propose then to send back each user balance MINUS 8.95% to stand the loss.  It's not perfect, but it's what we can and for my part I'm so happy people get their coins back !

There will be for sure people that won't reclaim their coins, but we can't rely on it.  I would suggest remaining Fluttercoin to be donated to Bounty Fund and allow Team FLT to continue Fluttercoin development.  Remember, no IPO - ICO, no premine, no hidden block, we work on donations and good will !

It's indeed a good day for us all. We get back our coins, we show outside investors how dedicated and honest we are, we show that we are here to stay !

Last thing i would share with you, and it's my own opinion, others may have different stand point. We got to see how risky it is to keep large amount of coins in exchanges. I would suggest all of you to take advantage of this situation by loading the latest client http://fluttercoin.us/download/  and staking your coins. You will help secure and fasten the network, you will drop the supply on exchanges (so the price may rise), and you will be rewarded big time (PoS is realy rewarding!).

And on top of staking our coin, if you want to say ''thank you'' and help further developpement, there is a perfect way to do so : FlutterShare. You can set up a % of your staking reward to be sent to a third part adress (TeamFLT bounty fund is FShqpDupfZKaw6zkDyqYhZop3P86NRZiet).  http://fluttercoin.us/flutterspeed-and-fluttershare/

Let's the fun begin !

added a new option in testing now, that if a block stakes and the split would create blocks <1000 it doesn't split.  I've seen some blocks of 32FLT, split and make two blocks of 18FLT, this creates blocks which will take a very long time to stake.  I was looking at just creating an option to suspend splitting entirely and I can do that as well if it's an option someone wants.  But I saw presstab making some similar work on HYP so if it's a block > 1000, it will have to stake up to 2000 before it would split again.  Should help with some block management.  i'm looking at adding an option to set this so you can choose what size blocks you want, like don't split them based on some size, like 10000, so you will always have blocks 10000+.

ooh and I think I made Hero member! Yeah me!

Ive adapted the Mac build procedure to accommodate Mac OS X Yosemite as well and started tracking the changes daily with Jenkins for both command line and GUI builds.  Ive been running the .14 code base for a few days now with out any issues.

SO whenever you are ready to release, just let me know.

What is the advantage of blocks with under 10K coins?

Creates more blocks that participate in staking, which allows clients to remain on the network longer, which secures the network from attack.

Thank you for explaining Smiley

I have the same question... It probably has something to do with coin weight?

Good job Derek and Jarrid Smiley

Can't wait to have the Minptal affair resolved.

One year from now, Bitcoin hit it's highest level.

Another combined run bitcoin-flutter would be nice !

On the Dev front, we have added some coincontrol fields to provide more info, unlock button on toolbar, animated the mining icon,  added coin control quick selects, a network connections detail to debug info.  Jarrid is working on adding network bandwidth graph so you will be able to see what your client is doing.  If you have skills in coding things or porting code, please join us in enhancing Fluttercoin.

On bounty fund.  Staking using latest beta 0.7.5.14 brought in 65k more FLT.

The biggest help (adds up fast) is for FLT holders to send % of their stake to the bounty fund using Fluttershare (set this and leave wallet open while staking and confirming).  Need to find a way to show how much everyone has donated, make it a game and have a reward for donations maybe...  Note on this, if you have small blocks, combine them into larger blocks, >1000, and if you have large blocks reduce these to <10000.  I am also working on some stake code that if a block is
no funds from premine, no ICO, no IPO, etc...and our bounty is #38 on richlist!

In sigh of all your support and approval, I can now move forward with this and ask Ferdous to send Ofeefee :

- Wallet (+-46M fluttercoins)
- Private Key
- Customers FLT balance
- Emails

Ofeefee will have a look at all this, and will let know what is the gap between the wallet (+-46M) and customers balances. Then, we will deduce the % to be deducted to every sending. I do think it won't be that much.

And then, we mass mail !  Will be the fun part, letting people knows we can send back their FLT Smiley.

And as soon as we receive everyone's FLT wallet adress, we manually send the coins back.

WE WILL RUN THIS PROCESS FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH.

After that, we will ask community what they want to do with remaining FLT (destroy it, send it to bounty fund, etc).

Merry XMas Smiley

Sounds like a good idea, count me in Smiley
