"Sadly this could not turn into something that could provide for us, as nothing in crypto is succeeding truly."

41k dollar for 4 months work is very hard isnt it?

you was hoping you could live fom greenbacks after some months of development and quit your jobs??

Maybe your part of the problem that nothing in crypto is suceeding truly.

A coin where devs have done alot/will do alot will not be dying after 4 months. Just look at your whitepaper to see what all you did not have done.

Please do the whole crypto community a favour and never ever touch a coin to develop it.

Thank you

As a note, we have done everything we guaranteed in the whitepaper, and we tried to work with the community to get ideas for the past two months. Sadly, no one comments in this thread. The only time anyone is commenting is now, and it is not good to see that people only talk in here when things are bad. We speak very heavily of how this coin had to be a community coin to survive in cryptos, but we never got that at all. Everyone left after the first 2 weeks. We've done everything we can for this coin, and been very honest throughout. Also, realize it is not $41,000. We have spent a good deal of money on outside development with the android & mobile app, failed poker site, buying for the stabilization fund, and promoting. Then take the remaining amount and split it between two. We were not trying to get the money and just run, that is why we have given this everything we have. At this point though, neither one of us have enough money to continue leaving off GreenBacks.

Here is our update:

We have really enjoyed working on GreenBacks, and have provided the community everything this coin needs for a solid infrastructure:

Wallet
Mobile Wallet
Web Wallet
Website
Crowdfunding Platform
Press Releases

At this point though, both our head developer and myself, the head marketer, just don't have time to commit to the coin. We both have taken on full time jobs with companies, and this project isn't getting the support it needs. Rather than watch it continue to lose support, we hoping to get it back up and running. So what we will do is an interview process to determine a new individual (developer) or team, to take over the coin completely. The community will decide on who they want to take it over, and we will host voting once we have entries.

How to apply:
Post a comment in this thread the following:
1. Introduction
2. Experience
3. Skills
4. What you plan to bring to GreenBacks and where you plan to take it
5. Resources (ie: time, team, partner, etc...)

We will allow the community to evaluate these, as well as us, and then we will open a survey. The Application period will last until December 10th. If we do not receive any applications then we aren't sure what will happen to GreenBacks, but we do expect this to be a way to rejuvenate the coin. We want people to bring in new ideas to the coin, and discuss those ideas in the plan. We're looking forward to seeing who applies.

i can think this coin will dead?

So, is today the final day to apply for taking over this coin or 10 Dec?

Yes, it is Dec 10th. Kind of surprised nobody has applied. We legitimately do not have time to bring forth developments for this coin. We've done a lot, and delivered a lot, but in order to provide for our family, we have to work a real job. Sadly this could not turn into something that could provide for us, as nothing in crypto is succeeding truly.

If no one does apply, then we strongly encourage the community to work on a community takeover.

And a little sad to see a coin that sold 112 BTC in ICO end that way.

Yes, probably whats going to happen. Most of the times, this is a getaway when the dev gives up on the coin.

I think that some Dev will take this coin over. I think it had and has potential still. I didn't buy many GB, but at the current price, who cares.

Some people may be taking a two week vacation, especially at this time of the year, who could be potential buyers. By the time they come back, they've missed out and probably went into another coin.

But why would Ghash.io pick Greenbacks out of the sea of altcoins and do a article on them? Does that even make any sense to you? It don't me. There is something behind it, unknown it may be, but there is a reason.

You would think that someone would pick it up. Its a easy make money opportunity. Ghash.io may as well have sponsered it today. I don't think they did this for nothing. There has to be a reason behind it.

I bought some anyways. This coin in my opinion has potential. Same as Supercoin now. Supercoin has went up 25% in the past 2 weeks since a new team took over.

The game is getting harder to play. A news articles doesn't mean much of anything anymore.

Why would someone want to pick up a coin and be the dev? That was so 6 months ago. Stupid investors have now made it acceptable to pre-mine a coin 100% and sell them off as an "ICO".

How's the interview process going? Have you interviewed anyone yet?

Is there anyone capable of taking over this coin who doesn't already have a coin or two, or three, or ten...?

So many coins & not many developers who are skilled in C++.

start ipo / collect bitcoins / leave project / profit!!!!      scamdevs

This is really not a fair comment towards us, as we have done more than 95% of other coin developers. We put everything we had into this coin consistently, and wanted it to work out for the best. We delivered developments throughout, and we are now trying to bring someone in who can give this coin more than we can. The purpose of us stepping down is so this coin does not have slow developments, we want to see it grow with a new team. The unfortunate reality is that we have families, and putting full-time work into this coin cannot provide for them, as we were hoping it may have. That is why we are working, and why we cannot commit ourselves to GreenBacks. We have really enjoyed working on this coin, and have worked extremely hard to be some of the most honest development team in cryptos. We have received support from other coin developers who respect how we have operated, and that means a lot. The application submission will end Dec 10th, so please send us your applications.

why give such less time for application submission ? I do no follow this. There might be a possibility that someone who might be very interested in
your proposal just couldn't see it in this short span of time. I hope I'm making sense to you !!

As a community member, what do you think is an appropriate time? We felt that 1 week was ample time. Anyone involved in the coin should see this thread within a week, if they take longer than they probably do not really care.
