how is this different than any other credit card processing tokens like tenx?
GreenMed is a solution for merchants who are unable to accept credit or debit cards due to being involved in the Marijuana industry. As a result they would not have a credit card terminal to process transactions. Tenx allow users to make purchases at stores already equipped with credit card terminals.
GreenMed is designed for legal marijuana dispensaries that are not equipped with credit card processing terminals due to being unable to have traditional bank accounts. We essentially are helping these dispensaries accept electronic transactions through credit debit or EFT.

Our application will be a one stop shop for both the consumer of legal marijuana and the dispensaries. Users will be able to pay using a debit or credit card, and even pre-purchase for pick-up, all within the app, while having the option to pay with a convenient online digital currency.
The optional GreenMed debit card allows the merchant to withdraw the funds directly from any ATM in the Visa network and even use it for purchases.

The GreenMed token facilitates debit and credit card transactions between customers and dispensaries. When customers attempt to purchase legal marijuana through the GreenMed app they will be asked to input either their credit card information or their banking information. Customers will then need to authorize a transaction for an amount of GreenMed tokens equal to the current USD value of legal marijuana they are trying to purchase. The GreenMed token is then sold on exchanges for USD, which is then transferred to the merchant’s GreenMed account. The merchant can withdraw via an EFT to a bank account or using the GreenMed debit card.
Market size
As of January 2017 there was nearly 3000 legal marijuana dispensaries in the US. This growing market, as well as the states that will legalize in the near future, will set the stage for impressive growth over the next five years. By 2021, it is projected that annual retail marijuana sales in the United States could top $17 billion, which would represent a 300% increase from 2016. This constitutes a significant market with a tremendous potential for growth considering that there is no credit card processor for the legal marijuana industry.

The pre-sale will last a total of four weeks followed by a four week Crowdsale at $0.20 per GreenMed Token. Each week of the pre-sale offers a bonus in the form of a discount applied to the price per token. Each week and until the end of the pre-sale period this bonus will change to a pre-set discount. The sale will end at either when all tokens are sold or at the conclusion of the Crowdsale.
Tokens will be distributed either one week after all tokens are sold or at the conclusion of the public Crowdsale, eight weeks after the start of the pre-sale.
