This is great news. After waiting almost a year from the snapshot, finally we have working blockchain with masternodes and staking. Lots of thing have changed in crypto since then, but I hope the project will continue developing in the right direction. Cheers!

I am happy to announce that the Helium network is now live via mainnet and ready for action. Thank you to everyone who has displayed professionalism and patience while we have worked through the process of getting the blockchain launched successfully.




Seed nodes are being set-up as we speak but for now please add the following nodes manually to the Helium.conf file:

the pending launch date kinda reminds me of Zeno's Paradox of the Tortoise and Achilles.
Achilles gets closer and closer to the tortoise but never catches him.

However, the downward trend is not eternal. And I think that many people understand this. And for this reason, I do not think there will be a dump in this red market, no matter whether there are pumps or not. Of course, if it does, it will be cool.

are you guys waiting for the next big pump before releasing this? which would make sense because otherwise this will be dumped too, seeing the recent downtrend of all coins

I noticed this too in other coins. Many are preferring the instant communication in slack and discord. Sometimes they rarely update their forum threads. Chat services have their advantages but a forum gives you a history that can easily be searched especially for important information.

As Teela mentioned, we are plugging some final holes in the code and making a few alterations and then we are ready to saddle up. Once the network is launched and mainnet is open to the public we will endeavor to update everyone including the faithful community here on Bitcointalk. With over 1700 people already the Slack channel is still the single best resource for up-to-date information if one finds themselves looking for more.

Gotta say time flies fast in crypto... I feel like we are inches away from launching the Helium mainnet and hope we will be already running HLM masternodes on this anniversary.
