There is 0 volume in all markets. It hasn't launched and you can't move or trade it yet.

I went on Cryptopia the other day and saw the volume was pretty slow. Maybe I caught it at the wrong time, but does it pick up a lot when a coin is released? I hope to pick up enough at a decent price for a MN if folks panic or dump during the initial trading.

I don't think HLM is traded in Cryptopia as the market is disabled until the wallet is released. Or you mean the volume of SPR?
I case I missed something, does HLM trade anywhere?

The volume on Cryptopia is growing all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if HLM is openly traded on Bittrex at launch as soon as Bittrex claims their HLM from SPR. You have to imagine Bittrex had million of SPR in their address at the time of the snapshot. So free money for them if people don't claim their HLM or Bittrex chooses not to reward them with it.

There are quite a few big DASH investors watching HLM with high interest. One of the reason why HLM is a fork of DASH.  Don't talk about immediate after start trading as weak hands are going to sell. But within a month or two, buying up to 0.01btc is easy. DASH for consumers, HLM for Corporate Services.

No doubt, I was just trying to manage expectations so people don't start buying at 40K sat only to see it dip a lot. That breeds disappointment and in the end, resentment.

I would not be surprised to see it drop to around 15K sat and stay in the doldrums for a couple of weeks. I might set a buy around 10K sat if I can flip my HLM for a good price, just in case. If you want to get out, better either sell in the first minutes (watch the price, and if it starts tanking, sell) or only sell if it reaches a certain price level again. Nothing wrong with wanting to get out at a loss if you have lost confidence, but don't sell the very bottom.

I like that approach.

You mean .00025 to .00035 btc ....
(25-35K satoshis)  which is a reasonable estimate.
I'm gonna say 35 to 50K sat, then correcting to 100K

I believe there will be a sharp dump shortly after it gets traded. Too many bag-holders who are spooked by the delays, lack of communication and small fuck-ups. Look at this thread and how slow it is - the community around HLM must be small at this time, so (likely) too little buying volume for the inevitable selling pressure of people wanting to get out to invest in other coins. I know I will have sells set up and some very low buys just in case...

I'd expect a rise to $100K only after a month has passed or so and the word makes the round. Could easily be in early 2018 what with Christmas upcoming.

Sorry to be the party pooper Wink

Pricewise, once HLM becomes tradeable, i think it will be somewhere between $1 to 2  OR around .00025 to .00035 satoshis

Here's hoping, brother!

Well mainly... I want the original SPR investment I made to all be worth it, and make a few bucks in the end. Anything more is just a bonus for me at this point. But I think this project can go really far, so I would advise against anyone selling their Helium, at least for the short term. I'm sure you'll end up regretting it after not very long.

I'm really excited about this project too. I think they have a winner making the blockchain useful outside of supporting currencies.

Are the devs active in a slack or telegram?

Yes. The core team is on Slack, but I am not sure of Telegram (I am not sure we have Telegram).
They are not the most active dev team on social media, but that is understandable, they are busy with the final touches of the launch.

What exactly does "final touches" mean, though? I don't want to hang on every word you guys say, and I really appreciate that update on Twitter, but "final touches" to me, means like a couple weeks max to roll things out. Some may say less, some might say more, but that sounds like it won't be too much longer?

maybe they're waiting for this whole bitcoin crash/ bitcoin  shitstorm to subside. it's a little distracting to say the least....

Coming from SPR, 'Stay tuned' means more than 2 years, and nobody know how long does it means, yet. Is not wise for HLM team to use this phrase.

https://twitter.com/HeliumPay/status/929177456459821057  - HLM announcement - launch details coming soon Smiley

Good update. Take your time Devs before unleashing Helium to the world.

Don't worry about FUD being spread here. They are poor souls who just did not get their HLM's hehehe.

 Grin Grin Grin

Not all of us are poor souls... Some of us don't trust exchanges and won't send any of our coins there to be stored for any length of time. So, people like me kept our SPR in our personal wallets knowing that it would be 100% safe there. Then we were told if we did that to just contact the devs and we would then confirm our address with them to get our HLM... Well, some of us have sent PMs to them with no response at all. I think there is a big difference between FUD and people just being worried about getting their coins. I trust Coins101 1000% as I have held SPR for a very long time and followed his work and ideas, it was the first coin I mined when I got into crypto 2 1/2 years ago...

I also see a lot of people here say "You have to be on Slack if you want any updates." Again, there is no "one size fits all." 99% of the day that I am online is when I am at work, well... Slack is a blocked website at my work because it is under the web category of "Chat and Instant Messaging."

So I have to give a massive thank you to the folks on here who have the kindness to share the important things said in the Slack on this forum. Without you guys some of us would be left in the dark.

Either way, I am super excited for this project to finally release a working wallet and I cannot wait to see where all of this ends up. Smiley

The SPR in your wallet is safe, and it they were there during the snapshot, you are entitled to the same amount of HLM once the network is launched. No point to send a PM to anyone regarding redeeming your HLM as it is not currently possible. The details of the redemption will be announced after the wallet will be released as you would need the Helium wallet to do it anyway. I know it is frustrating to wait, I would prefer the constant information flow as well, but we don't really have a choice, we need to wait a bit more.
