When will huntercore be ready for mining? Does it have submitblock and getblocktemplate functions?

U should strap the chain and upload a handy bootstrap file to ur site. U wont fit in life if u dont do that.
you can download the chain for the old client here chain.huntercoin.org (7gb ish download)
for Huntercore, i've not re-uploaded the pruned chain due to a bug whilst playing. doesn't affect the hardfork or the chain in anyway as far as we can tell, it's just a client issue with pruning - possibly pruning something it shouldn't.
the bug - when using the pruned chain, if you create a hunter with a thirdparty client and attempt to move it, you may get an insufficient coins error message (in the log).
no point uploading the pruned chain with the installer again yet, until sorted. Domob is aware and is looking into it.
hopefully will be sorted this weekend and I will re-upload it for you.

Also, how do you prune a blockchain already downloaded? I have the 13.x GB chain downloaded and want to prune it down to 1 GB.
If this is the Huntercore blockchain, add "prune=550" in huntercoin.conf. But then you can't rescan anymore, or bring in an old wallet (because client would want to do a (full or partial) rescan.
Especially if you don't have lots of download bandwidth, don't prune. Keep (and backup if not out of disk space) the unpruned chains of both old Huntercoin (which can't be pruned) and Huntercore, if you have them already.

Hey snail might want to think of encrypting that site alot of the modern web browsers don't like/probably stop connecting to http sites in the very near future.

regarding pruned chain download- i was just making a new installer with the latest pruned chain and I noticed a bug while playing with it.. only affects the pruned chain version. I've asked domob to have a look before I upload and fix the old links.
I hope you get a pruned chain uploaded soon, I could really use a bandwidth friendly blockchain download. Is it possible to post a link to download only the pruned blockchain? It's possible to know (from the version numbers of the block) if this miner has updated for the fork.
huntercoin.info shows this too, e.g. https://www.huntercoin.info/blockExplorer/block/02a3ec4c4348e1dabebbebd565de0d7a0d527a6ecb5fffd6d91017c2c5a8f219 (Version: 393474) was mined with v1.4 (even number). Odd numbers would mean not updated (v1.3), divisible by 4 is Huntercore.
About 70% of blocks are mined with v1.4 now, up from ~50% over the weekend. Watching this also gives a guesstimate about the number of miners/pools.

I tested it out; it got up and running really fast. The installer is even more noob-friendly--it places the pruned blockchain in the right place automatically, and now the client/game shortcuts go right to your desktop so you don't have to drag them from the folder, either. Definitely a step forward from the old days of Huntercoin when snailbrain had to walk me through the installation process

Hopefully the new game rules put any bot system at a disadvantage.
When you start playing and spawn 15 or 20 hunters, which is cheap now, there are good chances to get a pair placed strategically left and right of some other guy. If it's a bot, he *may* be able to flee and log out using relatively simple logic, but it depends on the actual positions of the 3 hunters.
This being said, betterQt can grab coins, and can control the exact timing of sending destruct, so that the player can go afk for a few minutes, in most situations, without facing certain death. (this all was made for the pre-fork game rules)
Once the fork kicks in, logging your Hunter in and out of the game won't take very long, so you don't need automated behavior as much for things like when you have to suddenly go AFK without warning.
And when you suddenly lose connection... a bank tile of some sort is now always nearby, and it makes sense to let the path of all hunters end on one, and accidental logouts cost only 1 HUC, but perhaps players would want a helper function for this (to let a bored hunter always hang around a bank tile, with path ending on it)

not currently, - i think better qt may have some auto loot function.

o fyi did a little math, and erased it already but ~ 20 days till hardfork assuming 1 min per block.

For the first time, it's also 3 minutes from starting to play to collecting a first coin, unless we get insane amount of players, then it would be 3 minutes to kill or die 
Btw, in the updated clients, all hunters already display a "0" or "(0)", when the fork hits, this is the invulnerability counter that new hunters get when they spawn, it will tick up to 5 (5 blocks invulnerability for everyone) and then disappear.
