I am not a "backbone" of Steam Community, a modest "nail" perhaps... but I am trading skins outside Steam on a regular semi-auto basis making couple of hundreds bucks a year out of nothing
using different skins trading sites to convert dollars to Bitcoin, making on the way some percents. I am also an expending Ether miner and was thinking a lot about some kind of coin for skins and will gladly invest in one if Mighty Lord Gaben will...
In my mostly humble opinion - any coin for Steam skins will just try to "kind a" decentralize something that is under someone's total control for a long time. It is not about "we have a dollar bill - we don't need bitcoin", it is about "we have a dollar bill - we don't need a dollar bill with hand made pretty mandalas on it".
I honestly hope that couple of Ethers will buy a place for SkinCoin in a giant market of online gaming or at least nice cars for coin's developers
This project probably will raise a good sum and a lot of initial investors will benefit from it but does it have any future? Will the devs be able to eat their way through the fat sharks of eSports?
